After a week of leaks and teases, Star Wars fans were eagerly anticipating Disney Plus Day on Friday, November 12. It was the two-year anniversary of the streaming service which rolled out The Mandalorian as the headlining show to open the streaming service to customers. Larry Cuba Explains How Computer Graphics Were Created For The First Star Wars Movie The computer graphics for the first Star Wars film was created by Larry Cuba in the 1970's at the Electronic Visualisation Laboratory (EVL.)  At the time it was known as the Circle Graphics Habitat at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  In this detailed video he explains how one of the first instances of computers graphics in a movie was made for Star Wars: A New Hope.  Advanced tech for 1977.

Lego Indiana Jones and Lara Croft Crossover Was Pitched To Lucasfilm Over on YouTube , there is a channel ( GameHut ) that has been created by founder of TT Games, Jon Burton.  Now, gamers will be familiar with TT Games as they have brought us the fantastic Lego games such as Lego Batman, Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones. What is interesting is in the video below, TT Games pitched an idea of creating a Lara Croft game but thought that it needed a bit more to it so decided to approach Lucasfilm with the idea of a Lara Croft/Indiana Jones crossover Lego game. Thinking Lucasfilm would be enthusiastic about the idea, they had the opposite reaction.  Apparently, Lucasfilm have never been happy with the creators of Lara Croft (Toby Gard/Eidos.)  In the video, Jon Burton said that Lucasfilm thought Lara was too similar to their hero with the whip and hat, Indiana Jones and going as far as claiming they "stole" their idea.  The concept was shot down immediately ...

Brian Griffin, I mean Seth MacFarlane interviews George Lucas.  You can absolutely tell that Seth MacFarlane is a fan as he's like a kid in a sweet shop touring around Lucasfilm. It really is a fantastic interview from way back in 2008. George explains that they are currently filming The Clone Wars.  George also give Seth some insight into movie-making and reveals that whatever film you make you will have to watch at least a hundred times which is a punishment. BOOK REVIEW: THE ART OF STAR WARS: REBEL Star Wars publishing has  decades-long tradition of Art Of books that cover the films and other projects within the franchise. These books are a treasure trove of insight, background and artwork associated with the 11 Star Wars films as well as animated series, video games and other projects. Monday, the latest entry arrived at my doorstep, the Art of Star Wars Rebels, written by prolific Star Wars author Daniel Wallace, featuring a foreward by show-runner Dave Filoni. The book is published by Dark Horse, the former owner of the Star Wars comics license. Last year, Dark Horse published the Art of Jedi Fallen Order, the most recent Star Wars video game, published by EA to critical and economic success. The style of the Art of Jedi Fallen Order is followed closely by the Art of Star Wars Rebels. The books are the exact same height, which makes for nice placement on a bookshelf, a nice touch for reference book collectors like me. All ...

Harrison Ford Reveals In Interview That He Is Returning In Around Two Months Time Harrison Ford has just casually confirmed in his unique way that he will be returning to Indiana Jones in around two months.  In an interview for 'CBS Sunday Morning' Lee Cowan asks Ford what's the challenge of coming back to the same role.  Ford replies by saying:  "trying not to look silly running around in tight pants and high boots...I'll try and give you a more appropriate answer, considering that I'm going to start doing Indiana Jones in about two months" He goes on to say that he is always delighted to come back to these characters because people enjoy them and feels obliged to make them as ambition as when they first started. He also referred to fans as customers as he believes the word "fan" is a bit weird to him. Lucasfilm over the last five decades have provided some of the most memorable visual and audio experiences ever created and it boils down to the huge amount of talent they have behind the scenes. Steven Spielberg and his trip to Lucasfilm, The Star Wars Arcade Machine and the missing "Force" button If you're a fan of Steven Spielberg then you probably already know the movie director is a bit of a gamer and it was only natural when the director was doing one of his regular visits to Lucasfilm in the early 80's that he set his sites on the Star Wars arcade machine that just happened to be taking residence. Little did Spielberg know that the machine that was at Lucasfilm was being used and studied by Peter Langston (Ball Blazer and Rescue on Fractalus!) who was there for Lucasfilm Games (later to be Lucasarts.)
