Next Jurassic World Will Not Be Directed By Colin Trevorrow

The world press tour of Jurassic World started Friday in Paris and it didn't take long for some of the questions from the press to be focused on the next Jurassic World movie.   BadTaste. It was interviewing the director Colin Trevorrow and he revealed he will not be in the director's chair for the next one.  He said: “Jurassic Park is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie,” Trevorrow told the site. “I would be involved in some way, but not as director.” Who would you like to see take the director's chair? Movie Review - Ex_Machina. A Spirited Prequel To Steven Spielberg's A.I.

Ex_Machina Tackles The Inevitable Morale Debate Of A.I. Rights. Plot 24 year old coder Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), who works at the world’s largest internet company, can hardly believe his luck when he wins a competition through work to spend a week at a private mountain retreat with his CEO Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). Caleb arrives at the remote location and is eerily forced to sign an NDA to take part in the week-long project with the reclusive Nathan. The project is revealed to be a strange and fascinating experiment, where Caleb must interact with the world’s first true artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl (Alicia Vikander) to test if she can pass as human. Review Alex Garland, whose writing credits includes The Beach, Never Let Me Go and Dredd, steps up to the director's chair for the first time with an equally claustrophobic theme in Ex_Machina.  A movie that centres around one location (mainly underground) and just three ma...

Remembering Marcus Brody.

He was born on this day, May 31st in 1922, in London, England and his acting career, with roles in over 150 films and TV-series, spanned over 40 years, but we will (probably) always remember him als Indiana Jones ' boss: the slightly unworldly (?) Marcus Brody . Raiders of the Lost Ark He portrayed the character of Marcus Brody in only two of the four Indiana Jones features, but he was present in spirit in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull : Spielberg didn't want to recast the character, so the passing of Marcus is mentioned several times throughout the film, a portrait of Marcus is hanging outside of Indy's classroom, a statuette of him can be seen in a University courtyard and a maltshop in the film is named ' Brody's '. Denholm died on October 6th, 1992 in Ibiza, as a result of AIDS. Carol Burnett and Denholm Elliot in Noises Off The last film he acted in was the Amblin production of Peter Bogdanoviches screwbal...

Clint Eastwood, the Legend, turns 85

Turning 85 today and still showing no signs of stopping (fortunately for moviefans all over the world) is Hollywood Legend Clint Eastwood . With a career that spans over 60 years, starting of as a bit player in various films, he first tasted success with the television series Rawhide , where he portrayed the character of Rowdy Yates for 216 episodes, between 1959 and 1965. But he scored really big, with his (European)  Man with No Name-Trilogy , directed by the legendary Sergio Leone: a Fistfull of Dollars , For a Few Dollars More and The good, The Bad and the Ugly in 1964, 1965 and 1966. After a few more so-called spaghetti-westerns, he was finally discovered in America as well. 1971 became his turning year, it was the year he worked on two films directed by his friend Don Siegel : The   Beguiled  (in my opinion a highly under-appreciated masterpiece)  and the box-office smash Dirty Harry (a character he would portray four more times in ...
