The series opener will be a two-parter, and the title of the first part was previously revealed to be "The Magician's Apprentice." We now know that the second part will be called "The Witch's Familiar." Also announced are two returning characters. The returning villain is none other than Michelle Gomez as Missy/The Master (you didn't think she was really dead, did you?). Doctor Who 's showrunner Steven Moffat had this to say about her reappearance: “Everybody hide - Michelle Gomez as Missy was an instant hit last year, so she’s straight back to plague the Doctor and Clara in the series opener.
