As you've probably gathered by now the aliens return bigger, much much bigger.  In fact we first see the mother ship ripping through the moon, taking out the defenses se...

Jeff Goldblum Talks Independence Day Sequel And Jurassic Park

Time.com caught up with Jurassic Park and Independence Day star, Jeff Goldblum who was promoting a recent GE commercial he is featuring in.  It wasn't long before the subject got on to the current Jurassic World and the upcoming Indpendence Day sequel. It seems like there’s been a lot going around in the last few months about potential sequels for Jurassic Park and Independence Day, so I was wondering whether those were things that you’d given any thought to or might be involved with? Well, people like that Jurassic Park thing, and I think they’re making another which I tell them, I’ll be first in line for, but am not in. And then Independence Day, I had a meeting and have been talking over the last several months or year with Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin, the producer, and they’ve been cooking up and say they have a part for me in what they hope will be a plan to make another one pretty soon.  Right. When I looked into it a bit, I saw something from a year ago say...

John Williams to Conduct the National Symphony Orchestra for 'A Capitol Fourth' on PBS

As the United States celebrates Independence Day next month, viewers of A Capitol Fourth on PBS will be treated to something truly special.  Legendary and award-winning composer John Williams will be on hand to conduct the National Symphony Orchestra, the Joint Armed Forces Chorus, the Choral Arts Society of Washington, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, and the Armed Forces Color Guard as they perform his special arrangement, for orchestra and chorus, of The Star-Spangled Banner . "It's a privilege to celebrate the birthday of our National Anthem, which has brought such great strength and inspiration to the American experience  for 200 years," said Williams. The Star-Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scott Key on September 14, 1814 when he witnessed the nation's flag flying triumphantly after a prolonged attack on Fort McHenry in Maryland.  It was originally written as a poem entitled 'Defence of Fort McHenry' and was later set to music and renamed...
