These Inspirational Quotes From George Lucas and Steven Spielberg Will Help You Get Your New Year Off To The Right Start

Happy New Year From The Bearded Trio From everyone here at The Bearded Trio we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  I hope 2019 is the best year yet for all of you and full of Spielberg, Lucas and Williams magic.  Don't be yourself, be a better person than the year before.  As Steven Spielberg puts it: "All of us every single year, we're a different person. I don't think we're the same person all our lives." Don't be put off by negative people around you and their lost hope.  Be positive and think of the good things in life and hopefully it will reflect on to those who have lost a little bit of that sparkle.  Again quoting Steven Spielberg: “I've always been very hopeful which I guess isn't strange coming from me. I don't want to call myself an optimist. I want to say that I've always been full of hope. I've never lost that. I have a lot of hope for this country and for the entire world." Don't stop dreamin

Patrick's Picks: The 10 Worst Films of 2018

by Patrick Gibbs It's been an interesting year for film, and an unpredictable one as well. Who saw  Black Panther  coming? Or thought that the first  Star Wars  movie from an Oscar Winning Director would be the first box office disappointment in the series? That we'd have multiple documentaries that people actually saw, or that Netflix would give us a Best Picture front runner? It's not always easy to tell how a movie is going to turn out, or how it is going to be received, and even then, everyone has their own opinions (I saw Solo five times, but I didn't love Infinity War). But the people behind the following films all should have seen at some point that thing were going south. There were obvious signs, but the studios, directors, and in some cases the stars refused to see those signs. Here are my choices for the 10 Worst Films of 2018. 1. THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS Jim Henson never intended his pioneering work in the art of puppeteering to be reserved entirely

Patrick's Picks: The 10 Best Films of 2018

by Patrick Gibbs It's never an easy thing for me to pick my Top 10 of the year. It can sometimes be an issue of struggling to find 10 great films, but more often than not it's about narrowing it down. It should (but doesn't) go without saying that no one critic's list is definitive, and even I don't agree with all  of my choices. The fact is, many of the films I saw over and over again and enjoyed the most (movies like Ready Player One, Solo: A Star Wars Story or Incredibles 2 didn't make the list. In the end, the deciding factors were artistic achievement, impact on the medium, popular culture and above all how they each spoke to me at the time. I emphasize the words "at the time" because more than once I have found myself looking at  my lists from years past and thinking "You pick Noah as the second best film of 2014???" 1. Won't You Be My Neighbor? Documentary filmmaker Morgan Neville's beautiful exploration of the life, w

This E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Key-Chain Has Some Questionable Artwork

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Key-Chain With Funny Artwork I've been having a rummage through my various boxes of collectables and I've come across this E.T. key-chain featuring various pictures, (some rather dubious) of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.  Now, I have no idea if this is an official product or not, I couldn't see any markings on the cards but I just had to share with you as some of the pictures are quite funny and made me chuckle. If you know any thing about this key-chain, please let me know and I'll update this post.  Also if you have a weird collectable and would like to share with the world, then feel free to let me know and I'll get it on here. Rob Wainfur @thebeardedtrio 1 - E.T's face when he opens the morning paper and realises its all about Brexit again. 2 - Something is a little "psycho" about that face 3 - E.T. kneeling down.  Really? 4 - Again with those legs.  5 - "Heeey" 6 - Be cool

Remembering Carrie Fisher - Gallery

Two years ago, the 27th December was an incredibly sad day as we learned that everyone's princess, Carrie Fisher had died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest a few days earlier.  She had been with us for over 40 years either as Princess Leia in Star Wars, from other movies or her books.  Here are some photos of the actress throughout her career.  Still our Princess.
