10 Examples Of Bad Movie Trailers

I take a look at 10 examples of bad movie trailers. The marketing of a movie is perhaps one of the most important parts of selling a movie.  If done well then the anticipation will go through the roof.  Take  Star Wars The Force Awakens  for example.  Each trailer released for The Force Awakens quickly hit the 50 million+ mark within days on YouTube and fans watched each one multiple times.  Reaction videos were made showing how fans felt the first time they witnessed the Millennium Falcon flying across their screen.  However if a movie trailer is done badly then it's like the front end of a car losing control, it's hard to correct once it starts sliding A bad trailer for a movie is, most of the time a sign that the movie studio doesn't actually know what they have on their hands and no idea how to promote it.  Here are a few examples of bad trailers. Star Trek Beyond The first trailer for the latest Star Trek movie did not go down well w...

Bringing The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man To Life - Photos And Trivia From Ghostbusters

Behind the scenes - Ghostbusters.   Here's a selection of photos where folks from Boss Film Studios bring to life the Stay Puft Marshmallow.  We've also included some interesting facts on the 1984 classic and Boss Film Studios for you to enjoy. Rival company to Industrial Light & Magic at the time, Boss Film Studios was headed by ex-ILM, Richard Edlund.  Edlund had worked on Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Star Wars movies at ILM before leaving to form Boss Film Studios. Notable projects the company were involved in were Fright Night, Poltergeist II, Die Hard, Ghost, Alien 3, Batman Returns and Starship Troopers.  They closed their doors in 1997 blaming the current industry not favouring independent companies. The Stay Puft Marshmallow man was played by William Bryan.  Bryan also worked as a puppet modeller on Jurassic Park III and a puppeteer on Men in Black.  He also spent time with Stan Winston working on A.I. and Jurass...

GHOSTBUSTERS x STRANGER THINGS Reebok Launch party event images at BAIT

As "Stranger Things" fans get stoked to binge watch the show's second season on Netflix, Sony Pictures Consumer Products is teaming with Reebok and BAIT for a Limited Edition run of the Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Clean model, featuring exclusive designs inspired by the 1984 classic  Ghostbusters  film. For the upcoming season, the "Stranger Things" producers teamed with Ghost Corps on the show's Ghostbusters storyline, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products put the collaboration together. As a backstory, we find Ghostbusters superfan Dustin has modified his Ex-O-Fit Hi by drawing his own Ghostbusters designs onto the shoe.  The shoes with that design will now be available for die-hard sneakerheads and fans. "80s nostalgia is running at a fever pitch, and excitement and fondness for the classic Ghostbusters seems to grow every year.  It makes total sense that in the fall of 1984, Dustin and his friends would be nuts for Ghostbusters," said  I...

Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer Is Full Of 80's Magic.

San Diego Comic Con was the place to be if you're a Stranger Things fan and lets be honest, who isn't?  The cast and masterminds behind the Netflix series were on stage for the hour long panel and a new trailer for season two was revealed to a roaring crowd. The trailer is three minutes long and packed with 80's goodness as well as a heavy dose of horror.  Look out for Dragon's Lair (I hated that game.  Soaked up my money like it was a packet of Oreos.)  A Reagan/Bush '84 campaign sign, Michael Jackson's Thriller complete with Vincent Price and of course the Ghostbusters.  In fact Ghostbusters seems to feature heavily and a makeshift ghost trap seems to be the centre of attention in one scene. Fans of Eleven will be relieved to discover that she is in the trailer.  Wait until the end. Executive producer, Matt Duffer was eager to talk about the new series and how it all began “We’re big movie nerds — that’s what we wanted to do. We started to get ...
