In 1975,  the thinking on how to do superhero stories in live action was still very much the Adam West Batman approach, and while the  Wonder Woman  television series starring Lynda Carter may have been a pop culture classic, and even a breakthrough for its time, the campier aspects of it were difficult for the popular consciousness to shake off.  A few years later, when Superman: The Movie made Hollywood take superheroes seriously, it did so with a female lead...

Star Trek's Chris Pine took to Good Morning America on Tuesday and gave some juicy info on the next Star Trek movie.  He said filming will commence sometime next year even though a director hasn't been officially announced yet after Robert Orci stepped down from the directors chair. "We're always the last to know as the actors. But there is a script somewhere out there and I'm pretty sure we'll get into making it happen sometime next year," he added.
