The Bearded Trio

There has been a lot of discussion on the use of CGI instead of Practical Effects in recent films, where the use of Practical Effects is usually rated better (or more realistic) compared to the results with CGI. Not claiming to choose on either side, I love this small compilation of Practical Effects gone wrong, or at least, didn't work the way they were intended to (and especially the number 1 on the list). Have fun watching it, and try not to take everything too serious. Ronny. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at Stan Winston's special effects team running through some rehearsals with the animatronic T-Rex featured in Jurassic Park . It's amazing to see just how real it looks -- not to mention terrifying! Maybe most importantly, however, it seems to have personality. Surely a credit to the genius of Mr. Winston and his crew.
