The Bearded Trio

Steven Spielberg's latest project, informally called  The Papers has been officially renamed to The Post . The Post will tell the story of the Washington Post’s decision to publish the classified Pentagon Papers in 1971.  It will star Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.  The movie is expected to be released with a limited run on December 22nd and then a full release on January 12th, 2018. The movie which is co-financed by Amblin Entertainment and Fox is being tipped to do well at the awards and I can only guess that is based on the subject matter alone.  Expect a trailer soon. John Williams will score "The Papers" Alan SIlvestri to score "Ready Player One" Variety have got an exclusive and it's big news.  John Williams will score Spielberg's political drama "The Papers" which will hit cinema screens at the end of the year.  The other movie that Spielberg is doing, "Ready Player One," well the music duties will fall to the great Alan Silvestri.  This will be only the third time in Spielberg's theatrical movie history where John Wiliams hasn't been the composer.  The reason of course is that post-production for both movies is happening at the same time. A statement from Spielberg’s Amblin Productions: “Steven and John decided Alan Silvestri was the perfect choice for ‘Ready Player One’ since Steven has worked (as a producer) with Alan on the ‘Back to the Future’ films in the ’80s and Alan has scored other films for Steven’s Amblin and DreamWorks.” We will keep you updated on this story. The main cast for Steven Spielberg's "The Papers" has been announced today and adds some fine talent to work along side the great Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, Welshman Matthew Rhys, Bradley Whitford, Carrie Coon, Jesse Plemons, David Cross, Alison Brie, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Zach Woods will all have the lucky task of being directed by Mr Spielberg in his latest project which will tell the story of Washington Post’s decision to publish the classified Pentagon Papers in 1971. Tom Hanks will play hard-charging Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, with Streep handling the role of iron-willed publisher Katharine Graham The film will be co-financed by Fox and Amblin Entertainment.
