In a recent interview with a Spanish website  the director of Jurassic World 2, JA Bayona revealed that the movie will be shot in Wales, UK.  Specifically the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Hey!  That's just up the road from me. I am a huge fan of the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood.  I still think the Monkey Island games from Lucasarts are some of the finest adventure games ever to grace a computer or indeed a console. by Patrick Gibbs There are a few things that can be consistently counted on from a Martin Scorsese Picture. One is technical and visual excellence. Another is that it's not likely to pull a lot of punches. But perhaps the two hallmarks that stand out to me most of all are that Scorsese the artist is almost always trying to say something meaningful, and that unfortunately, too often he does not succeed. In some cases, such as The Wolf of Wall Street, the problem is that we just don't need a three hour movie to make the point that greed and lust can be self destructive. We got that in the first hour (frankly, we got it in the trailer. Not that Wolf is without merit; it has some moments of brilliantly executed comedy, and it's filled with great acting and staging. Waking up to sad news this morning as we learn that Sir John Hurt has died at the age of 77 from cancer.  The actor had been treated for pancreatic cancer in 2015 and at one point had been given the all clear. Sir John was knighted in 2015 for his services to drama. After his cancer diagnosis the same year, he told the Radio Times: "I can't say I worry about mortality, but it's impossible to get to my age and not have a little contemplation of it. "We're all just passing time, and occupy our chair very briefly." Hurt will be remembered for roles in Alien and The Elephant Man.  He also appeared in the fourth Indiana Jones movie in 2008 where he played Professor Oxley in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  Harry Potter fans will remember him as  Mr Ollivander.  J K Rowling, tweeted: "So very sad to hear that the immensely talented and deeply beloved John Hurt has died. There has been a fan theory for many years now that all the movies from Pixar are all played out in the same universe.  Well Pixar confirmed that theory this week with a video they published on their Facebook page . Starting with Finding Dory, the two-and-a-half minute clip goes through all the characters that have appeared in Pixar films that aren’t their own.  Each character in the video cuts to a sighting of that very character in another Pixar movie.  It's a clever video and will make you smile because...well Pixar. T he nominations for the 89th Academy Awards were announced today and you can check out the full list below.  Notable mentions are Rogue One getting two nominations, one in the Sound Mixing category and the other in Achievement in Visual Effects.  Star Trek Beyond gets a nod in the Achievement in makeup and hair-styling category.  La La Land picks up an impressive 14 nominations including the category of Best motion picture of the year.  The Gibbs brothers of The Bearded Trio voted it one of the best films of 2016 .  Our top movie of 2016, Lion gets 6 nominations including Best Picture and Performance by an actor in a supporting role. To start with, let's get straight that the officially announced  title  for Stat Wars Episode VIII, The Last Jedi, is a good one. It's simple, elegant, and classically Star Wars- y. I don't think you'll see anything like the dissatisfied uproar that greeted the prequel titles, or even the mild confusion that came with The Force Awakens in some circles. But what exactly does it mean? It obviously refers to Luke Skywalker, the only surviving member of the Jedi order, who was even refered to as the last Jedi by Kyko Ren. This is the best thing about the title, as it further suggests Luke will be a huge part of the new film, and we all want that, don't we? But does it also refer to Rey, who we all assume at this point will be trained by Luke as a Jedi? Does it suggest that the mantle of the last Jedi will pass from Luke to Rey in this film? And if so, does that mean the death of Luke? And does that mean he becomes a blue ghost? Does it mean Luke and/or Rey will not

By Patrick Gibbs The 2017 Academy Award Nominations will be announced on Tuesday morning, and there are a few things that are practically set in stone: La La Land and Moonlight are going to get nominations for Best Picture, Viola Davis is a shoe in for a much deserved nomination (and probable win) for Fences, and Casey Affleck will continue his streak as Affleck of The Year (I love you, Ben, and I have faith that you will rise again. But you had the worst year of any   celebrity, and we are talking about 2016 .). All of the nominees I've mentioned above are deserving, but there are always some great films and performances that don't make the cut. The following are not my choices for what should win the individual awards, but rather, they are a group of very worthy nominees that probably won't happen, but should: Michael Keaton and Tom Hanks for Best Actor in a Leading Role, The Founder and Sully Keaton is well liked by the Academy at this point after very narrowly m
