Happy New Year From The Bearded Trio - Inspirational Quotes From George Lucas and Steven Spielberg

Happy New Year From The Bearded Trio From everyone here at The Bearded Trio we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  A lot will be thankful that 2020 is finally at an end.  We hope 2021 is the best year yet for all of you.  Don't be yourself, be a better person than the year before.  As Steven Spielberg puts it: "All of us every single year, we're a different person. I don't think we're the same person all our lives." Don't be put off by negative people around you and their lost hope.  Be positive and think of the good things in life and hopefully it will reflect on to those who have lost a little bit of that sparkle.  Again quoting Steven Spielberg: “I've always been very hopeful which I guess isn't strange coming from me. I don't want to call myself an optimist. I want to say that I've always been full of hope. I've never lost that. I have a lot of hope for this country and for the entire world." Don't sto

Explaining the Lyrics To Star Wars Duel of the Fates

So what were they singing in "Duel of the Fates" ? It's a line from a Welsh poem, Cad Goddeu ("Battle of the Trees"), originally translated by Robert Graves, and literally transcribed into Sanskrit. The line goes, "Under the tongue root a fight most dread, and another raging, behind, in the head." Sanskrit lyrics? Williams chose Sanskrit because it was not as recognisable as Latin or Greek, and the vowels were easy to sing. The lyrics are: Khara Matha Khara Rath Amah Khara Rath Amah Yuddha Khara Khara Syada Rath Amah Dai Ya Khara Ki La Dan Ya Niha Ki La Khara Rath Amah Syada Ki La Khara Rath Amah Khara Dan Ya Khara Rath Amah Khara Dan Ya Khara Rath Amah Niha Ki La Khara Rath Amah Syada Ki La Khara Rath Amah Khara Khara Matha Khara Rath Amah Khara Dan Ya Khara Rath Amah Niha Ki La Khara Rath Amah Syada Ki La Khara Rath Amah Khara Was it then also Sanskrit at Qui-Gon's funeral ? Yes. Before you ask: Mahdhurah swehpna Go

VIDEO: This Star Wars Christmas Light Show Is Impressive...Most Impressive

Christmas lights and Star Wars.  What more do you need? "You don't know the power" is what blares out during this rather impressive light show featuring Star Wars. To be honest, with all those lights on I would be pretty happy not knowing the power usage here. This has to be seen to be believed. It's not just lights but video footage embedded into the light show. Impressive...Most Impressive. This 2017 Star Wars light show was located in downtown San Antonio, Texas at Dignowity Park and ran nightly from 6pm to 10pm until New Years. The neighbours may think the weird family at no. 77 are trying to communicate and tell them to keep the noise down and stop parking on their drive.  Or, it's a celebration and an excuse to combine Christmas and the awesome music of John Williams. Close Encounters played with Christmas lights using 80 channels of  lightorama fun. The Bearded Trio - The Site For Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, John Williams and a whole lot more.

My Top Ten Steven Spielberg Movies - Rob Wainfur

Steven Spielberg Movies That Make My Top Ten This website, The Bearded Trio started way back in 2009 and during that time I have never done my personal top 10 Steven Spielberg movies.  I thought it would be too hard to do but I recently asked on our Facebook page if you would be interested in knowing my Spielberg favourites and as a result I've been convinced to do the list. So here it is, it's not in order* (that would be way too hard to do) and I've decided to leave out Schindler's List as the movie carries a powerful and important message and I believe it deserves to stay out of a silly top ten list like this.  It's Spielberg's most important movie but I wanted to give you my top ten movies that I keep coming back to.  You know the ones, you've had a hard day at work and just want to put on what I call a "movie comfort blanket." *That not in order bit?  Well it's a little bit in order.  What I mean is the top five are always fightin

Happy 73rd Birthday to Steven Spielberg

Happy Birthday Steven Spielberg We would like to take this opportunity to wish Steven Spielberg a very happy 73rd Birthday. Thank you for all the wonderful movie memories over the years. Thank you for deciding to pursue a career in film so you could bring us wonderful journeys such as Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Jurassic Park and Schindler's List. I could go on, and that's just the movies. On the small screen you help bring some classic such as Duel, Animaniacs, Taken, Falling Skies, Tiny Toons, Band of Brothers, ER and like the movie classics you brought us, so many more. We hope you don't retire for many years and continue to enlighten our lives with your magic on the big and small screens. Thank you for inspiring us, along with George Lucas and John Williams who are your long term collaborators to create this web site. Happy Birthday Steven.

Movie Review: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is an Exciting and Emotional Journey

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Starring Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega. Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domnhall Gleeson, Kellie Marie Tran, Kerri Russell,  Richard E. Grant,  Ian McDiarmid   and Billy Dee Williams Screenplay Chris Terrio and JJ Abrahms Directed by J.J. Abrams Reviewed by Paul & Patrick Gibbs  Out of Four When we first saw a press screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, most of us who attended the screening fell in love with the film and considered it a masterpiece. When we ran into writer and Star Wars expert Bryan Young later that evening at another screening, we talked between us about how much we loved Rian Johnson's film."I think it's safe to say J.J. Abrams has the hardest job in the world following it", Byan remarked.  Of course it turned out that The Last Jedi became the most divisive film in the entire franchise, loved by some and hated by others. But Bryan was still right, n

Photo of the day - John Williams, Billy Dee Williams and Harrison Ford at the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker Premiere

John Williams, Billy Dee Williams and Harrison Ford The premiere of a certain movie took place yesterday in good old fashioned, Hollywood CA and of course the big stars were out in Force.  Speaking of the Force, that movie was of course, Star Wars:  The Rise of Skywalker and this was my favourite picture from the event.  John Williams, Billy-Dee Williams and Harrison Ford all together in one photo.  How much coolness oozes from this one picture? Also, we couldn't let you go with a photo of Steven Spielberg at the same event. The Bearded Trio - The Site For Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, John Williams and a whole lot more.

Photo of the day - Harrison Ford as a carpenter with friends

Yes, that is Harrison Ford on the right in the photo.  Here, he's a skilled carpenter, his profession he chose after only getting bit-parts in acting and he was self-taught too. But it was carpentry skills that got him a job with a certain director called George Lucas and a certain  movie called Star Wars.  Lucas had met Ford while Ford was installing a wooden door at Francis Ford Coppola’s house.  The rest is history. “When I was a carpenter, I once worked with this Russian lady architect. I would tell her, ‘Look, I’m terribly sorry, but I want to change that half an inch,’ and she would say ‘No limit for better.’ I think that is a worthy credo.” - Harrison Ford. VIDEO - Watch John Williams Discuss Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker And J.J. Abrams

John Williams on The Rise of Skywalker "He is a marvellous man and a spirited director and we can be grateful for him for so many things, not the least of which of finding Daisy Ridley." - John Williams on J.J. Abrams. Enjoy this three minute video from John Williams talking about his involvement in Star Wars and the Rise of Skywalker and his admiration for director, J.J. Abrams.  "I didn't expect to see Lando again and I love seeing him in this film." said the composer.  Watch the full clip below: The Bearded Trio - The Site For Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, John Williams and a whole lot more.
