The Bearded Trio

The trailer is out for Star Trek Beyond and Trek fans have been less than impressed saying it doesn't feel like Star Trek.  Simon Pegg has even spoken out and told us fans to be patient as there's more to come and has assured us that it will be more like Trek.  In the mean time here's five stills from the movie which hits cinemas next year.  I hope Pegg is right and the next Trek film starts to look like...well Star Trek.  No Beastie Boys music please. Here's the new trailer for Star Trek Beyond.  My first reactions are I'm not impressed.  As a huge Trek fan this doesn't feel like Trek.  I hate the music and the 'all action' trailer really doesn't capture the essence of Star Trek for me.  What do you think? It looks like Star Trek will be riding on the success of Star Wars.  It's been reported that Paramount have secured a spot during the Force Awakens movie trailers to show a promo for Star Trek Beyond which hits cinemas July next year.  Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinemas December 18th although some countries will be showing the movie a day early. Hollywood Reporter broke the news and they tell us: It's no surprise that the latest installment in the Star Trek series would get favored treatment. Abrams, whose Bad Robot production company is based at Paramount, produced Star Trek Beyond after directing the first two films in the revitalized franchise, Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). Other 2016 tentpoles likely to secure trailer placement include Warner Bros.'
