It was just announced that the Doctor Who Christmas Special will be screened in select theaters across the U.S. on December 28 and 29! This special presentation will feature an exclusive interview with the returning Alex Kingston (River Song), as well as a 15-minute behind-the-scenes featurette with appearances by Peter Capaldi, Steven Moffat, and more. Details have been released regarding some exciting events leading up to - and including - the series 8 premiere of Doctor Who .  First up, BBC America has a whole slate of specials planned for their Doctor Who Takeover Week .  Here's what you need to know: 1. Comedian and Doctor Who superfan Chris Hardwick will host Doctor Who: Live Pre-Show at 7:30 p.m. ET and Doctor Who: After Who Live at 11 p.m. ET following the premiere of Intruders on August 23. The pre-show and post-show will feature an array of guests in the studio including writer and actor Mark Gatiss along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. 2.
