These Inspirational Quotes From George Lucas and Steven Spielberg Will Help You Get Your New Year Off To The Right Start

Happy New Year From The Bearded Trio From everyone here at The Bearded Trio we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  I hope 2019 is the best year yet for all of you and full of Spielberg, Lucas and Williams magic.  Don't be yourself, be a better person than the year before.  As Steven Spielberg puts it: "All of us every single year, we're a different person. I don't think we're the same person all our lives." Don't be put off by negative people around you and their lost hope.  Be positive and think of the good things in life and hopefully it will reflect on to those who have lost a little bit of that sparkle.  Again quoting Steven Spielberg: “I've always been very hopeful which I guess isn't strange coming from me. I don't want to call myself an optimist. I want to say that I've always been full of hope. I've never lost that. I have a lot of hope for this country and for the entire world." Don't stop dreamin

This E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Key-Chain Has Some Questionable Artwork

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Key-Chain With Funny Artwork I've been having a rummage through my various boxes of collectables and I've come across this E.T. key-chain featuring various pictures, (some rather dubious) of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.  Now, I have no idea if this is an official product or not, I couldn't see any markings on the cards but I just had to share with you as some of the pictures are quite funny and made me chuckle. If you know any thing about this key-chain, please let me know and I'll update this post.  Also if you have a weird collectable and would like to share with the world, then feel free to let me know and I'll get it on here. Rob Wainfur @thebeardedtrio 1 - E.T's face when he opens the morning paper and realises its all about Brexit again. 2 - Something is a little "psycho" about that face 3 - E.T. kneeling down.  Really? 4 - Again with those legs.  5 - "Heeey" 6 - Be cool

Remembering Carrie Fisher - Gallery

Two years ago, the 27th December was an incredibly sad day as we learned that everyone's princess, Carrie Fisher had died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest a few days earlier.  She had been with us for over 40 years either as Princess Leia in Star Wars, from other movies or her books.  Here are some photos of the actress throughout her career.  Still our Princess. John Williams Christmas Music To Enjoy This Christmas Eve T'was the night before Christmas (well almost) and all was quiet. Let's rectify that and make it even more like Christmas with ten tracks by John Williams. Merry Christmas. Lets start with a classic from the movie, Home Alone. We'll return to Home Alone later. Next up it's a real treat. John Williams conducting Sleigh Ride with the excellent Boston Pops. Over to Home Alone 2 now with Christmas at Carnegie Hall. All aboard the Hogwarts express now as we head to the magical land of Harry Potter for Christmas, floating candles and all. Staying within the Harry Potter universe we have this wonderfully majestic piece from The Chamber of Secrets. Has a magical Christmas feel.  You can read more about Fawkes the Phoenix in my other blog post -  Winding Down With Williams - Fawkes The Phoenix Back to Home Alone now. We couldn't do a John Williams Christmas list without this  Finally lets have

This Star Wars Christmas Light Show Is Impressive...Most Impressive

Christmas lights and Star Wars.  What more do you need? "You don't know the power" is what blares out during this rather impressive light show featuring Star Wars. To be honest, with all those lights on I would be pretty happy not knowing the power usage here. This has to be seen to be believed. It's not just lights but video footage embedded into the light show. Impressive...Most Impressive. This 2017 Star Wars light show was located in downtown San Antonio, Texas at Dignowity Park and ran nightly from 6pm to 10pm until New Years. Solo: A Star Wars Story Misses Deadline For 'Best Original Score' Oscar

Solo: A Star Wars Story will not be represented in the 'Best Original Score' category at the Oscars due to Disney/Lucasfilm missing the deadline.  Oops! According to Variety , the score from John Powell with themes by John Williams  was struck off the list of nominees after it failed to submit the score by the 15th November.  They say that misery likes company so they can feel slightly better in knowing that another three other movies will not be represented due to the same reason, Green Book, Mandy, and The Other Side of the Wind. First-round voting is underway for the Oscars and over 150 scores are in the mix.  Solo: A Star Wars Story, unfortunately isn't one of them.  Lets hope they get that Grammy that they've been nominated for. Voting ends at 5 p.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Shortlists will be announced by the Academy on Dec. 17.
