Could The Puppet Creature From That Star Wars Message Be Hdrachi? Take A Look

Well here's a thought on that creature from the latest Star Wars message featuring J.J. Abrams.  Could it be an Hdrachi?  Take a look at the picture above and you will see a similarity. Wookieepedia says about the Hdrachi: Diminutive, fur-covered cameloids, the H'drachi were mammals with short brown hair covering their bodies and had thin arms and legs. Shorter then the average Human, the H'drachi had a higher propensity for Force-sensitivity then most species The native species to the world of M'haeli, the H'drachi were subservient to Human colonist who usurped power and ruled the planet. Despite this, the H'drachi took comfort in their ability to read the future through an energy field they called the time-stream. This Force-perception of time was viewed as a form of precognition by other Force-based organizations, but as most H'drachi were Force-sensitive, the society developed its own traditions instead of adopting tho...

Gareth Edwards and Gary Whitta Onboard for Star Wars Stand-Alone Film

In addition to the episodes of a new  Star Wars  trilogy, Lucasfilm and Disney have begun development on multiple stand-alone movies that will offer new stories beyond the core Saga. Gareth Edwards will direct the first stand-alone film, with a screenplay by Gary Whitta. The film is due out December 16, 2016.   Gareth Edwards blazed into the filmmaking forefront with his acclaimed work on  Monsters , a film he wrote, directed and served on as cinematographer and visual effects artist. The skill and vision readily apparent in  Monsters  earned him the high-profile spot directing this year's smash hit  Godzilla . "Ever since I saw  Star Wars  I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life - join the Rebel Alliance! I could not be more excited & honored to go on this mission with Lucasfilm,” said Edwards. Gary Whitta’s screenwriting credits include 2010’s  The Book   of Eli  starring Denzel Washi...

A Few Things You Should Know About Steven Spielberg's Extant

The new series from Steven Spielberg, Extant , will debut is just over a month, and The Hollywood Reporter has a list of the five things you need to know : 1. The series will follow a model just like its summer companion  Under the Dome, meaning if the show is successful, it would continue on with a second season -- with Berry returning as its lead, producers said. In other words, don't let its billing as an "event" or "limited" series throw you -- this is a cable model 13-episode drama. "We love the idea of season two being the sequel to this," Walker said. "The threat we establish in season one … will continue in season two." 2. The series poses an essential question: "What makes us human? Can machines be human?" showrunner Walker said, noting that what makes us human is as much of a draw to aliens as anything Extant explores. "[This] deals with a lot of familiar themes, and we're rooted in family story." ...

Coen Brothers To Write Script For Spielberg / Hanks Cold War Project

A few weeks back we reported Tom Hanks is to team up once again with Steven Spielberg for a yet to be named Cold War project from Dreamworks. Well the project is still without a name but we do know one thing, thanks to Variety .  The writers of the script will be the Coen Brothers. Marc Platt will produce with Spielberg. The Coen Brothers, who won screenwriting Oscars for “Fargo” and “No Country for Old Men,” are revising Matt Charman’s script. The untitled project is based on the true story of James Donovan, who Hanks will portray. Donovan was the American attorney enlisted by the CIA during the Cold War to surreptitiously negotiate the 1962 release of Francis Gary Powers, the U-2 spy plane pilot who was shot down over Russia two years earlier. It seems confirmed by Dreamworks declined to comment at this time. Rob @welshslider THE BEARDED TRIO ON FACEBOOK THE BEARDED TRIO ON TWITTER THE BEARDED TRIO ON GOOGLE+ THE BEARDED TRIO ON PINTEREST

Cineworld Cinemas Already Has Dedicated Page For Star Wars VII

Way back in 1999 weeks before The Phantom Menace was due to blast on to cinema screens, fans were waiting patiently to get their hands on tickets for the long awaited prequel to Star Wars. Advance tickets only went on sale after cinema owners put pressure on director and producer George Lucas. He initially banned early sales after fears ticket touts would muscle in. Tickets were limited to 12 per person. One fan from Augusta, Georgia waited a week outside the cinema just to get a ticket for the movie attracting taunts from passers-by and media attention.  He said: "It was just intense. Cameras all in front of me, news crews and everything. It was more than I expected."  Some fans camped out in driving rain saying they've been waiting 16 years for this. Speed up to present day and I feel the situation will be no different. Of course we will have more online bookings and the web will be able to cope with the influx of fans wanting to book early. In fact  Cineworl...

Extras Agencies Clash Over Rights To Provide Extras For Star Wars VII

Extras agency Mad Dog Casting have got tangled up in a legal battle with ex-employee Eleanor McLaughlin over the legal right to provide extras for Star Wars VII. At the centre of the legal fight is 32-year-old Eleanor McLaughlin who is accused of trying to steal a lucrative contract to provide extras for the forthcoming seventh instalment of the sci-fi saga. British agency Mad Dog Casting is suing her for up to £250,000 after claiming it had entered ‘mature’ negotiations to supply extras for crowd scenes that involve aliens and other creatures last year. However, it argues McLaughlin, a former employee, quit the firm to set up her own casting agency and also started competing for the £1million contract. Fears have now been raised that the legal fight could delay the shooting of some of the big crowd scenes for Star Wars: Episode VII. In legal documents submitted to the High Court, the firm accuses Miss McLaughlin, whose film credits include the latest James Bond movie Skyfall, Pi...
