Adrianne Curry was spotted recently filming a segment for Ross Mathews E! series, Hello Ross. The segment involved taking a ride on the excellent Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. We reported last month that Steven Spielberg will be receiving the 2014 Lincoln Leadership Prize in Chicago next week. The award will be presented by Lincoln actress Sally Field. Field, picked up an Oscar last year for her role in the Spielberg directed movie for her potrayal as Mary Todd Lincoln. The annual award honors outstanding individuals for a lifetime of service in the spirit of our 16thpresident. In a statement, the foundation’s chairman Wayne W. Whalen said Spielberg was especially worthy of this honor for being one “who brings socially relevant issues to the forefront of our minds through the medium of film. Spielberg's Extant featuring Halle Berry has been given air dates by CBS and good news for the other Spielberg produced show, Under The Dome as that gets a second season. CBS has announced the premiere dates for Extant, the new mini-series starring Halle Berry and co-produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin. The network also confirmed when Stephen King’s Under The Dome will be back for a second season. Extant stars Berry as an astronaut who arrives home after a year-long solo mission. Her life will have a surprising impact on human history. The show will start on Wednesday, July 9, rather than July 2 as previously stated. It will air at 9 p.m. Under The Dome, based on the King novel, will kick off its second season on Monday, June 30 at 10 p.m. The show tells the story of Chester’s Mill, a town that has been cut off from the world by a mysterious dome. W ith rumours that Disney/Lucasfilm is planning on making Star Wars movies based on characters such as Han Solo, Boba Fett and Yoda, the internet is positively busting at the thought of these new movies. While my first reaction upon hearing about more Star Wars movies was “More Star Wars? Yes, please” I’ve now had time to think about what these new movies could mean to the Saga. The original Star Wars relied heavily on archetypal characters in order to convey to the audience the heroes’ journey that Luke Skywalker takes. He’s an innocent farmboy. Ben Kenobi, the Merlin-like teacher. Darth Vader, the black garbed villain. Han Solo’s character is there to be a cynical foil to Luke’s naivety. In the sequels we meet Yoda, the wise old sage and Boba Fett, gunslinger for hire. Each character serves a purpose based on the archetype they represent. We are to assume based on our introduction to Han in Star Wars that since he’s just shot Greedo (first!) he’s a no-nonsense, possibly danger...

Originally published on Coffee With Kenobi Finally, we get to witness the last season of a wonderful animated series that ended when it was in its prime, Star Wars: The Clone Wars .  The Emmy winning series has chronicled that legendary moment in time first mentioned by Obi-Wan Kenobi in his hut on Tatooine.  Thanks to the Clone Wars , viewers get to experience the majesty, adventure, intrigue, and events that we have wondered about since 1977.  In fact, it could be argued that this groundbreaking series added much needed gravitas, characterization, and pathos to not only the relationship between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but fleshed out the Prequel era in a way we all dreamed they would when we first learned that the story of Anakin Skywalker would be revealed.  This is in no way to demote the value of the Prequels (I love them, albeit in a different fashion than the Original Trilogy), but to laud the achievements in animation, storytel...

The Bearded Trio have decided to bring more Star Trek coverage to the site.  What's the connection?  Well ILM worked on Star Trek, Lucas was inspired by Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry and to be honest, personally I'm a Star Trek fan as much as a Star Wars fan.
