This week we have a very special guest. None other than Dee Wallace.
Dee played Elliot's mother in Steven Spielberg's 1982 classic E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. Now an author, healer and a radio show host, Dee can also be found on the convention circuit throughout the world. On top of all this Dee is also a sought after public speaker. Dee has spoken at numerous national and international venues including the Love and Harmony Forum in Tokyo, Japan; The Dillion Lecture Series, Unity Temple, Cornerstone Foundation, and the Kansas Film Commission in Kansas; The Sally Johnson Studio in New York; Spiritworks; The Sierra Madre WomenÃs Club; Energetic Healing seminars throughout England; and her own healing and teaching seminars throughout the United States. As it says on Dee's website she is today's new renaissance woman.
Let's start the questions.
You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah. What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take?
My movie would be Gone With the Wind, TV, Homeland, Music, Neil Diamond's Best Hits, and book would be Ramtha: The White Book.
If you could invite any three people (alive or not, fictitious or not) to a dinner party, who would they be?
A musician, a philosopher, and a comedienne.
What is your favourite John Williams soundtrack? (I think we may know the answer to this one.)
Well Duh. E.T. (Had to be.)
If you were invisible for a day what would be the first thing you would do?
Run around whispering in everyone's ears "You are loved. You are fabulous."
When was the last time you cried?
Quite recently. Yesterday in fact.
What is your biggest fear?
Being trapped in a body that doesn't work, or a body that does, with a mind that doesn't.
What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?
I had to stand up in 7th grade to do a violin solo and my skirt fell off.
Excluding search engines, what three website would you choose if no other websites were available?
Which ever ones my daughter tells me to visit. I'm totally tech unsavvy.
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Actually I love dancing to sixty's music. I can't get enough of it.
What are you looking forward to the most in the next six months?
I'm looking forward to my Hawaii trip with my daughter and Christmas with family.
Hawaii |
What is your most treasured possession?
My daughter and my health.
What is your biggest regret?
That I didn't give up certain things that really didn't matter.
What are you most proud of?
My healing work, and how it is helping the world. And my ability to always keep creating myself in new and meaningful ways.
What is your favourite Spielberg movie? (I think we may know the answer to this one too.)
Again. Duh. E.T. And not because I'm in it.
You can keep up to date on Dee Wallace on her very informative website http://iamdeewallace.com/ and where you can find Dee's books including:
Bright Light is an autobiographical tale of how the actor’s craft became a spiritual journey for her, and how she applied those lessons to her life. It is also a story of Everyman: how we lose our light and steps we can take to reclaim it. For Dee Wallace has discovered, like her co-star E.T., that the journey home comes from following the heart’s lead.
Thanks Dee for taking the time to answer our questions and hope to see you this weekend at London Film And Comic Con.
