Michael Giacchino Wants John Williams To Do Star Wars VII

Michael Giacchino speaking at a Q&A session in Switzerland has stated that he wants John Williams to write the soundtrack for Star Wars VII.

"One of the things that excites me most about 'Star Wars' coming back is chance to hear a John Williams score. If it were up to me I would say 'John, you must do it.'"

In February John Williams said at a concert:

"Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016… so I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George [Lucas]."

John Williams is our first choice here at The Bearded Trio (obviously) but Michael Giacchino would be a great choice to continue John's work on Star Wars. If you're not sure of his work, check out the soundtrack to Super 8 which just happens to be directed by none other than J.J. Abrams.

Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie. It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen. First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.
