Gift Idea #1 - Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker 2020 Calendar. You Could Win One In Our Fun Competition

The Bearded Trio Gift Idea - Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2020 Calendar

The last chapter in the Skywalker saga will hit cinema screens on 19th December and what better way to celebrate the saga than to have a reminder of the final film on your wall all year round?

Well, you can do just that with this official 2020 calendar that features the main characters from the movie.  Ranging from Rey for January, Finn for March, Chewie for July and a particularly cool looking Lando for September.

This would make the perfect gift for that friend or member of the family who are Star Wars fans.  They could mark it with all the important dates of 2020 such as the 76th birthday of George Lucas (14th May,) the 88th birthday of John Williams (8th February,) or the founder of The Bearded Trio, me! (16th August.)

COMPETITION TIME
It's a nice way to spread a little Star Wars and Christmas cheer at the same time and we at The Bearded Trio are all for that.  In fact, to celebrate the launch of our 2019 Christmas gift ideas, we are going to give you the chance to win one of these awesome calendars.

What do I Need To Do?
All you have to do is tell us a joke.  Post a joke on our social media pages or down below and the best answer will get the calendar.  It's as simple as that.  Please keep them clean, family friendly and bonus points are up for grabs if you make it relevant such as a joke on Star Wars, Spielberg or one of his movies for example.

We'll even throw in one of our official pin badges too.  A true collectors item, honest.

Here's an example of the kind of jokes we're looking for:

How do Gamorreans write secret messages?
They use invisible oink!

THE RULES
Closing date is Sunday 17th November, 4pm GMT.  The competition is open worldwide.  We will select the best joke and then we will contact the winner requesting a postal address so that we can send the calendar in the post within the week.  We cannot substitute the prize or be responsible for any items lost in the post.

May the Force be with you all and good luck!

Look out for more competitions and Christmas gift ideas over the coming weeks.

Did Paul Freeman Accidentally Eat A Fly In Raiders of the Lost Ark?

The Famous Indiana Jones Fly In Belloq's Mouth Scene.  Did It Really Happen? I've always wondered if Paul Freeman unintentionally consumed a fly in this scene in  Raiders of the Lost Ark ?  It's the scene where Indiana Jones shouts down to Bellosh...I mean Belloq and threatens to blow up the ark.  Did a fly go in his mouth? I remember watching this scene back in the early eighties and my ten year old mind thought he definitely had a snack while filming.  I recall talking about 'flygate' in my school playground at the time and the general consensus with my friends was that Freeman definitely had a sneaky snack. Paul Freeman talks about the famous 'fly' scene in an interview with TheIndyExperience.com  and settled 'flygate:' This is a bit of a dicey question so don’t get too upset. (Laughs) A movie’s always got bloopers in it, some have a lot, and some only have three or four. And the most remarkable blooper was right before the opening of th

Explaining That "Weird" Cut In Poltergeist. Read The Missing Scene

Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie.  It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen.  First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.  Steve leans up against the kitchen wall and is completely shocked at what just happened.  It's at this point Diane starts to explain the sensation of being pulled and then...A very abrupt cut.  One moment we are listening to Diane and suddenly it cuts to Diane and Steve at their next door neighbours door.  Why the sudden cut?  It's on the VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and even the streaming versions.  Why does this awful and weird cut exist in the movie, Poltergeist?  Watch the clip below to see the cut: Well, the ans
