Five Unusual Ready Player One Collectibles You Should Add To Your Collection

When a big movie hits the big screen you can bet your last lucky quarter that there is a whole range of merchandise up for sale associated with the movie.  Ready Player One is no exception and since watching the movie I'm eager to get my hands on some of the more unusual merchandise out there.  It's easy to find a poster, book, key-ring or pin badge but I like to delve a little deeper and find that one item that in years to come fans are going to think "that was really for sale?"

So here are five items that I think would be a real good addition to your collection and if you're thinking of starting a Ready Player One collection these items will really kick it off.

Ready Player One Gunter Life Fragrance

How about adding a little fragrance to your collection?  This Ready Player One Gunter Life Fragrance is exclusive to Hot Topic and comes in at $22.90.  Apparently it has notes of ambrette seeds, sea salt and sage.  I have no idea what an ambrette seed is but at least the makers didn't go with the fragrance of eggs, easter ones at that.
Price - $22.90 - Hot Topic

Ready Player One Key Bath Bomb Set
Ready Player One Key Bath Bomb Set
I'm a sucker for bathroom collectibles.  I still have my vintage C3P0 and R2D2 soaps, sealed of course.  These Ready Player One bath bombs made me smile when I came across them.  They come in three fragrances.  Peppermint, honey & lavender and are shaped in the style of the Copper, Jade & Crystal Keys.  I would have to buy two of these.  One for my collection and the other to see my bath explode like the Stacks.  Too soon?

Art3mis Eyeshadow Palette
Art3mis Eyeshadow Palette
This is a must for anyone thinking of starting a Ready Player One collection.  Not only is this off the scale when it comes to unusual collectibles but just take a look at that cover.  That is oozing retro goodness.  Featuring Art3mis on the cover with a classic 80's design the eyeshadows inside come in nine different colours.  Of course they are neon like bright matte teal "New Wave," in-your-face matte lime "Synergy," and sparkly yellow "Hi Fidelity."  Perfect for a dance off while flying.

Bracelets are not that unusual but a set featuring the names of the two main characters from Ready Player One and a gate charm included certainly is.  A nice and inexpensive collectible.

Yes, they are Funko.  I know what you're thinking, these are not that collectible if they're from a well known company such as Funko.  Believe me Funko stuff can still become collectible and I have a feeling these keys will be one of them.  Don't open the packaging, just have them on display and come back to them in a few years time to see if the value has gone up.  I have a feeling they will

Did Paul Freeman Accidentally Eat A Fly In Raiders of the Lost Ark?

The Famous Indiana Jones Fly In Belloq's Mouth Scene.  Did It Really Happen? I've always wondered if Paul Freeman unintentionally consumed a fly in this scene in  Raiders of the Lost Ark ?  It's the scene where Indiana Jones shouts down to Bellosh...I mean Belloq and threatens to blow up the ark.  Did a fly go in his mouth? I remember watching this scene back in the early eighties and my ten year old mind thought he definitely had a snack while filming.  I recall talking about 'flygate' in my school playground at the time and the general consensus with my friends was that Freeman definitely had a sneaky snack. Paul Freeman talks about the famous 'fly' scene in an interview with TheIndyExperience.com  and settled 'flygate:' This is a bit of a dicey question so don’t get too upset. (Laughs) A movie’s always got bloopers in it, some have a lot, and some only have three or four. And the most remarkable blooper was right before the opening of th

Explaining That "Weird" Cut In Poltergeist. Read The Missing Scene

Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie.  It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen.  First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.  Steve leans up against the kitchen wall and is completely shocked at what just happened.  It's at this point Diane starts to explain the sensation of being pulled and then...A very abrupt cut.  One moment we are listening to Diane and suddenly it cuts to Diane and Steve at their next door neighbours door.  Why the sudden cut?  It's on the VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and even the streaming versions.  Why does this awful and weird cut exist in the movie, Poltergeist?  Watch the clip below to see the cut: Well, the ans
