Cast your mind back to 2013 for just a minute. Remember that Microsoft XBox One conference where they were talking more about TV than the games? And do you remember that big announcement of a Halo TV series? They even had a video message from Steven Spielberg announcing his involvement in the project.
Well since then we've not heard much about the TV series. The closure of XBox Entertainment Studios didn't help. However 343 Studios have continued to keep the Halo dream alive. The good folks over at AR12Gaming.Com reached out to Microsoft and got a somewhat positive response:
“Progress on the Halo Television Series continues,” a Microsoft Spokesperson and representative of 343 Industries confirmed to AR12Gaming. “We want to ensure we’re doing this the right way together with a team of creative partners (Steven Spielberg and Showtime) that can help us build the best Halo series that fans expect and deserve. We have no further details to share at this time.”
Its vague but at least the project isn't dead. It's still on their "to-do list" and they are still in contact with Steven Spielberg. Progress continues.
