Stranger Things Season 2 Confirmed. Teaser Video Released

Stranger Things, the original Netflix TV series has been a massive hit thanks to its gripping story, 80's retro setting and tips of the hat to Spielberg, John Landis, Steven King and John Carpenter to name a few.

But eight episode is just not enough for something as high quality as this.  So today it was officially announced that Netflix will be bringing us season 2 of Stranger Things and it's called...um...well Stranger Things 2.

Show creators Ross and Matt Duffer have already teased us with some ideas and hinted that the second season will have a lot of Indiana Jones references.

They told IGN that a second series would pick up a year after the first left off, to compensate for the growing child actors. A time jump would also give the writers an opportunity to create new mysteries.

The brothers teased that a sequel would explore the after-effects of Upside Down on Will, saying: “Season two would be very differently, structurally.

If Stranger Things Was An 80's Computer Game...

We all love Stranger Things which is available on Netflix right now.  It has a wonderful 80's retro feel with a heavy dose of Steven Spielberg.  If you haven't watched the eight episodes yet then you are missing out on one of the best TV shows in years.  Check out our review here.  Developer Infamous Quests have put together a playable point n' click game in the same vain as the classic Lucasarts games such as Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.  You can play it here.

In the game you play Chief Hooper who searches through the woods following the disappearance of Will Byers.  It lasts about 15 minutes but it's free so get downloading.

In the mean time another clever fan of Stranger Things has put this video together showing what an 80's game would look like on your C64 or Atari.  It's full of retro goodness and if you're of a certain age it will definitely make you smile.

FAN VIDEO - The Secret Of Monkey Island - The Three Trials

In my opinion there just aren't enough fan videos of Monkey Island.  I mean who wouldn't want to dress up as Guybrush Threepwood, be a mighty pirate and hook up with the beautiful Elaine?  So I had a huge smile on my face when I came across this little gem on YouTube.  It's from Rainy Island Studios and it's full of Threepwood magic as the clever people behind the fan video re-enact the three trials from the Lucasarts game.  In the game The Three Trials were three tasks that the Pirate Leaders said that all pirates must pass.  They included sword fighting, thievery and treasure huntery.  Here comes the blurb below on the video along with the video itself.  Look behind you, a three headed monkey!

This is the first video we made about the game "The Secret Of Monkey Island" in Italy and we replay the three trials of Guybrush Threepwood :) Probably in future we'll produce the sequel :D
