Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a Spielberg marathon throughout September called Septemberg.
Steven Spielberg has to be the most populist of all the great American filmmakers. His main strength has been being a master storyteller, but his most impressive is the ability to tell so many different kinds of stories and do so effectively. That’s why The Alamo Drafthouse decided to dedicate an entire month of programming to him this September with SEPTEMBERG!
All through September, Alamo Drafthouse locations will be screening Jaws, Jurassic Park, The Color Purple, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Saving Private Ryan, Hook and the entire Indiana Jones trilogy. In addition, they’ll also be screening the Spielberg produced movies An American Tail and Poltergeist.
Alamo Drafthouse’s participating locations include Austin, Littleton, Houston, Kalamazoo, Kansas City, Loudoun, Laredo, Lubbock, New Braunfels, San Antonio and Yonkers, but you’ll want to check out each theater’s respective line-up at Alamo Drafthouse’s event page, because not every theater is playing all of the movies above.
