Fan Creates Video To Prompt AFI To Give Lifetime Achievement Award To #JohnWilliams @AmericanFilm

John Williams fan, John Wesley Downey has created a Youtube video to start a worthy campaign. To get the AFI (American Film Institute) to give a Lifetime Achievement Award to our favourite composer. As John points out in the video, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford have all won the award but John Williams hasn't. It seems strange considering the huge contribution John Williams has brought to their work and others including us fans all around the world.

John Williams is beyond legend. Numerous great scores, for big films and small, with a staggering range of music, from the jazzy score of Catch Me If You Can to the mournful Saving Private Ryan to the majestic music in Jurassic Park. John Williams is the man. So why have his collaborators received the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award but Mr. Williams hasn't? This video explores that question. Please like, comment and subscribe. Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie. It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen. First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne. Steve leans up against the kitchen wall and is completely shocked at what just happened. It's at this point Diane starts to explain the sensation of being pulled and then...A very abrupt cut.
