Today actor Gregory Alcott celebrates his 87th birthday. Born and raised in North Carolina, Alcott joined the army just after World War II had ended. When he left the army, he wanted to become an actor and left for Hollywood, with just $100 in his pocket.
After a successful career as a tv-star in the 50's and 60's, he went for the big screen in the 70's.
He worked with Clint Eastwood a lot, but he also had a fair part in Sugarland Express, portaying Mashburn, one of the policemen that tried to stop Lou Jean and Clovis on their search for Baby langdon.
Alcott is seen on the right, in this shot.
He didn't really make it big in films, but he became a rather familiar face in various tv-series ever since.
Happy 87th birthday.
