Sony has pushed back Ron Howard's Inferno which will star Tom Hanks. The film is based on Dan Brown's book and sees the further adventures of Robert Langdon from The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. The movie was set to go head to head with Star Wars VII. The move is obviously to avoid the biggest movie release of the year, Star Wars VII directed by J.J. Abrams. The movie has now been pushed back to October 14th 2016.
The only movie going head to head with Star Wars VII is The Nest which is a Tina Fey-Amy Poehler comedy. It could see it riding on the wave of Episode VII being an alternative to the sci-fi movie.
