Steven Spielberg's latest movie is well under way. St. James Place is based on a true story about a lawyer, James Donovan played by Tom Hanks who is hired by the CIA during the Cold War to negotiate the release of U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers.
We've seen production shots from New York and parts of the city being transformed to a Cold War era.
But the news we want to know, is John Williams doing the soundtrack? If you got to the Wikipedia page of the movie you will see John Williams in the credits. But no official annoucment has been made.
I thought I would contact someone at Dreamworks and ask the question directly. Here's part of the response I got:
"John scores all of Steven’s films so we would expect him to do the same here."That's good news. Of course it's not a direct confirmation but it sounds to me that our favourite composer is in talks with Dreamworks and of course has a long and successful track record with Steven Spielberg.
Expect an official announcement soon. We'll keep you updated.
