Guest Stars for the Doctor Who Christmas Special Announced

The special guest stars for the Doctor Who Christmas Special have been announced by the BBC. Nick Frost and Michael Troughton will be joining the Doctor and Clara in this year's festive adventure.

Nick Frost is an actor and screenwriter best known his frequent collaborations with Simon Pegg on films such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End.

Michael Troughton is son of the Second Doctor Patrick Troughton, and he has recently made a return to acting. It's fitting that he'll be following his father's footsteps into the world of Doctor Who. [His brother David has previously appeared in Doctor Who, most recently in 2008 when he played Professor Hobbes in the episode Midnight.]

Also joining the cast are Nathan McMullen, Natalie Gumede, and Faye Marsay.

Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie. It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen. First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.
