Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings has once again been voted the number one soundtrack by Classic FM listeners. That's five years in a row now.
John Williams' Star Wars was a close second and our favourite composer was the most represented in the top ten with four entries. Harry Potter was number 10, Jurassic Park number 7, Schindler's List number 4 and the previously mentioned Star Wars number 2.
But I have to question the listener's taste with Jaws only coming in at 31. The other John Williams soundtracks in the list were
Raiders of the Lost Ark - 15
E.T. - 19
Superman - 26
Close Encounters - 48
Seven Years in Tibet - 57
War of the Worlds - 77
Empire of the Sun - 79
War Horse - 99
