Over at TV Line they are reporting that HBO has completed a deal to bring the Broadway show All the Way to the small screen. The show recently won a 2014 Tony award for Best play as well as best actor. The TV version is set to feature Bryan Cranston reprising his role as President Lyndon Johnson, and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment is producing the project.
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan is adapting the show from his own script for the made-for-TV film.
The story takes place in 1964 during Johnson's first year in office following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
