Steven Spielberg is set to receive an award at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
The Oscar-winning director will receive the 2013 Records of Achievement Award in recognition of his film work. The award is presented by the Foundation of the National Archives and is intended to honour an individual whose work has bolstered awareness of the history and identity of the United States through the use of original records.
Spielberg is expected to be receiving the award in person on Nov. 19 gala in Washington, D.C. Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns is chairing the event.
