Chris Macht Answers Our Questions
This is a new feature here on The Bearded Trio, Quick fire questions. Every week we will fire some quick fire questions at someone you may know. This week we bring you Chris Macht, director of The Force Among Us, and the sequel The Force Within Us.Heres a little about THE FORCE WITHIN US.
The Force Within Us, the sequel to the highly acclaimed and sold out documentary “The Force Among Us”, takes us deeper into the Star Wars experience than just the obsession of collectibles and costuming. Exploring how and why this epic saga has the ability to possess and alter lives, “The Force Within Us” centers on Star Wars as a catalyst for spiritual rebirth… finding personal meaning in life… and inspiring positive change. Filmmaker Cris Macht takes you on a journey revealing that Star Wars is more than just another sci-fi film to watch or convention to attend. It exposes personal connections that are developed through the sagas good versus evil storyline, and the hope that good ultimately triumphs in our world as well as in a galaxy far, far away. Also featured are thought provoking stories from Star Wars celebrities and how being a part of the phenomenon has changed their lives. Familiar Star Wars locations, like the Death Valley (Tatooine) and the Redwood Forest (Endor), add to the deep, emotional journey that is “The Force Within Us.”
Here are the quick fire questions.
1 You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah. What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take?
I think it would be cool to watch The Empire Strikes Back on Dagobah, I like that kind of stuff, when I visit the locations I always enjoy watching the footage when I get home – it’s this “instant connection” like I have been there! TV – The Muppets, album – my I pod with 12,000 songs on it, book – The Alan Arnold “The Making of The Empire Strikes Back”
Jim Henson |
2 If you could invite any three people (alive or not, fictitious or not) to a dinner party, who would they be?
Bill Graham (the concert promoter, NOT the Religious guy ), Jim Henson, and George Lucas – only George is Still Alive3 What is your favourite John Williams soundtrack?
That’s a hard one. I love them all, you take away his score and you only have ½ the film that Star Wars is!
4 If you were invisible for a day what would be the first thing you would do?
I have no idea, I actually have to stop and think about that one
5 When was the last time you cried?
(Spoiler alert) - Every time I watch my mom cry in The Force Among Us II – and I have seen that part over and over again.
6 What is your biggest fear?
Cockroaches
7 What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?
There are a few, I would say what comes to mind is something stupid I said (I don’t even recall exactly) or the one time when I was playing with mt band (about 21 years ago!) and I forgot a riff….on stage!
8 Excluding search engines, what three website would you choose if no other websites were available?
Tampabayrays.com, ebay.com, wolfgangsvault.com

Sesame Street. A Guilty pleasure? |

My 2nd documentary being released, the 2013 baseball season ( I am going to the Rays opening day, the Cubs opening day, and visiting a lot of new parks!) and the big one………………my 1st child being born!
11 What is your most treasured possession?
My wife
12 What is your biggest regret?
“I regret nothing!” – didn't a Simpsons character say that!? - I think the regret that will also be in the back of my head is when I met George Lucas alone in London, - it was a movie theater lobby when Revenge Of The Sith was debuting…he came up to me, signed my photo….but I never asked the man for a photo – I was too nervous! Now I take photos with every famous person I Meet!
Seriously that would be my biggest regret too if that happened to me.

I would have to say making two movies!

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
