Check Out This Dagobah Themed Terrarium

I love the Interweb.  For one you never know what you might randomly find.  Take this Dagobah themed terrarium for example.  Browsing Reddit and this hits the front page.  It really is a piece of art though.  I would have to add a little speaker and have the ambience of Dagobah playing.  You can keep the smell though. This 1988 Advert Has a Floating Yoda. So What? How About A Floating George Lucas?

George Lucas uses the force. This is a from a 1988 Panasonic advert.  This is ridiculous, ludicrous even.  I mean come on.  Video cameras were never that big were they? Force Trees: It’s Energy Surrounds Us

Yoda and the cave a.k.a. " The Domain of Evil " “Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you. Here, between you … me … the tree ... the rock … everywhere! Yes, even between the land and the ship.” – Master Yoda to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back As fans of Star Wars, we’re all privy to this quote by our little green friend, Master Yoda. But as of late, due to all the latest hearsay and crazy fan theories, the true meaning behind it all may in fact, be different from what we first had suspected all those years ago. For example, the most recent excerpt of the upcoming novel, Life Debt by Chuck Wendig sheds some new light on the Force and its connection with trees. Just in that tiny tidbit, we now know that Luke was instructing Leia in the ways of the Force and through a tree sapling, acting as a conduit for meditations. You must unlearn what you have learned, comes to mind. Trees no...

Rebels Repercussions

The season 2 finale of Star Wars Rebels was some of the best Star Wars we’ve gotten ever. Bold statement I know, but it’s true in my opinion. As soon as it was over, I needed to write about it; I needed to talk about it with anyone who was willing to discuss it. There’s so much to talk about! Twitter feeds blew up. Facebook posts on the finale dominated my Facebook page. I wanted to write about it, but I knew that it needed multiple viewings and notes needed to be taken. There were just too many thoughts going through my head as I watched. So here are some of the thoughts I jotted down while watching. Enough talk let’s get on with.      Okay so my first thought is how much this episode of Star Wars Rebels mirrored not only Star Wars : Episode V The Empire Strikes Back ,  as Dave Filoni has said at the Season 2 Finale Red Carpet, that this is “ The Empire Strikes Back of our story so far”, (what better Star Wars fi...

Here's a new clip of Star Wars Rebels thanks to IGN.  We get to hear Frank Oz as Yoda. Kanan is shocked to hear the voice of the Jedi Master Yoda (voiced by the returning Frank Oz) in the next episode of Rebels, "Path of the Jedi." Star Wars Standalone Movies: Keeping The Mystery

W ith rumours that Disney/Lucasfilm is planning on making Star Wars movies based on characters such as Han Solo, Boba Fett and Yoda, the internet is positively busting at the thought of these new movies. While my first reaction upon hearing about more Star Wars movies was “More Star Wars? Yes, please” I’ve now had time to think about what these new movies could mean to the Saga. The original Star Wars relied heavily on archetypal characters in order to convey to the audience the heroes’ journey that Luke Skywalker takes. He’s an innocent farmboy. Ben Kenobi, the Merlin-like teacher. Darth Vader, the black garbed villain. Han Solo’s character is there to be a cynical foil to Luke’s naivety. In the sequels we meet Yoda, the wise old sage and Boba Fett, gunslinger for hire. Each character serves a purpose based on the archetype they represent. We are to assume based on our introduction to Han in Star Wars that since he’s just shot Greedo (first!) he’s a no-nonsense, possibly danger...

George Lucas Unveils Yoda And Indiana Jones Statues At San Anselmo's Imagination Park

George Lucas Thursday unveiled statues of Yoda and Indiana Jones at San Anselmo's Imagination Park. Mr Lucas donated the land for the nearly completed park at 535 San Anselmo Ave. downtown, razed an existing building to make room for it and paid for the bronze statues. "I've never seen so many people in downtown San Anselmo," said Annabelle Reber, who was at the event with her dog, her infant and her toddler. The San Anselmo resident said, "We're very excited that the town finally has a central gathering spot."

R.I.P. Stuart Freeborn - Face Of Yoda

Freeborn made a vital contribution to the Star Wars universe, for which he helped create such enduring characters as Chewbacca, Jabba the Hutt and Yoda. The face of Yoda was based on Albert Einstein and his own face. A very talented man who was an important part of the Star Wars universe.
