And another reboot is looming on the horizon... With the Poltergeist remake being almost ready for this summer’s release, MGM has taken it upon them to try and find a new audience for an animated classic from the eighties (and one of my favorite animated films of all times)  Don Bluth’s The Secret of N.I.M.H. Originally Paramount  was working on a reboot of this dark fairy tale from 1982, made by a group of ex-Disney-animators, lead by Don Bluth, John Pomeroy and Gary Goldman (The press referred to them as “the Disney Defectors”.). However, after successfully snooping away the rights for the Tomb Raider -franchise, MGM succeeded in taking away the film-rights to this series of children’s books from the seventies. MGM plans on making the new version, using a blend of Live Action and CGI, to (re)tell the story of rats helping a mouse against humans.
