David Oyelowo of Red Tails And Star Wars Rebels Explains His Friendship With George Lucas

Star Wars Rebels and Red Tails star, David Oyelowo explains his friendship with one of the bearded trio, George Lucas on the RadioTimes website .  They met on the set of Red Tails and have been friends ever since. “My children would meet George Lucas and see the original Yoda and the original this and that,” Oyelowo tells me. “We had a rarefied introduction to the world of Star Wars. They are big fans now.” In fact when they meet up, Lucas still talks incessantly about the Star Wars franchise despite his relatively hands-off role in the upcoming films which are now being overseen by Disney: “George never seems to tire of it. He will happily sit you down and talk non-stop about the Star Wars universe. He has also become a happy viewer from afar.” Look out for Oyelowo in the upcoming Star Wars Rebels where he will play villain, Agent Kallus. Red Tails - A Drinking Game

Chocks Aways!  A Red Tails Drinking Game Having done my quick review of Red Tails that I watched tonight I couldn't help noticing that whisky crops up a few times throughout the movie. Even though I enjoyed the movie I was craving a shot of bourbon afterwards. (That's normal right?) So in preparation for my second viewing (either cinema or the eventual Blu-ray release) I thought a Red Tails drinking game would be a great addition. Here we go. (There may be a tiny bit of a spoiler alert here.) 1 - You see a glass of whisky in the movie - take a swig 2 - "Lightning" disobeys orders - take a swig 3 - Black Jesus is mentioned - down a drink 4 - Someone tries to speak another language - take a sip 5 - A German plane is shot down - take a swig 6 - Coffee complains about the state of his planes - down a drink 7 - "Easy" has a drink - take a gulp 8 - "Easy" pours his whisky away - down a drink 9 - A wing gets detached from a...

REVIEW: Red Tails - A Movie You Must See

Red Tails Is Flying High S o tonight I watched Red Tails from Lucasfilm.  A true story about the Tuskegee black African airmen.  Produced by George Lucas and Rick McCallum this is a film that has been in the making for a number of years and now its finally here I can say that the wait was worth waiting for.  The film immediately opens with an explosive start.  No slow build up here.  The attack and ultimate destruction of a German military train pulls you straight into the movie and straight away you're on the edge of your seat. Red Tails is packed with battle scenes throughout, of which are spectacular.  Industrial Light And Magic who did the special effects have out done themselves.  The dog fights are fast paced but done in a way that you know exactly what is going on.  The screen is never overfilled with action which a lot of modern day movies tend to be guilty of.  Transformers anyone?  But the m...

New trailer and poster for LucasFilm’s Red Tails

“How do you like that, Mister Hitler?” iTunes Trailers has debuted a third trailer for Anthony Hemingway’s  Red Tails , the forthcoming WWII action-drama from George Lucas’ production company LucasFilm. You may know them from such films as  Star Wars ,  Indiana Jones  and  Howard the Duck . There’s also a brand new poster for the film below. Synopsis: 1944. As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options -- including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country -- and the fate of the free world. Red Tails  is re...

Bill's Aml in George Lucas's Red Tails

A former star of The Bill has landed a role in a new movie by Star Wars creator George Lucas. Aml Ameen, 24, who played PC Lewis Hardy in the hit show for 18 months, is to appear in Red Tails. It tells the story of the first African American pilots to fly in combat in the Second World War. Aml, who has just returned from filming in Prague, said: "To all my fellow dreamers let this show you that it can be done. This started with a dream and a belief that I can do it." What is the Bill? The Bill is a British television police procedural made by Talkback Thames, and named after a slang term for the police. It was first broadcast on 16 August 1983 as a pilot episode, and as a regular series from 16 October 1984. As of July 2009[update], The Bill is filmed in HD and broadcast on the majority of ITV networks - including ITV HD and nationally on ITV3; with episodes from 2007 being shown daily on Watch. I can't stand it!
