The Bearded Trio have decided to bring more Star Trek coverage to the site.  What's the connection?  Well ILM worked on Star Trek, Lucas was inspired by Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry and to be honest, personally I'm a Star Trek fan as much as a Star Wars fan. To kick things off I thought I would balance it out with a Star Wars/Star Trek cross over with this Star Trek Into Darkness/Star Wars crossover trailer parody.  It's very well done too. Q'plah! The 41st Annual Annie Awards nominations were announced today and ILM received four nominations. The nominations were for Star Trek Into Darkness and Pacific Rim for best animated effects and best character animation in a live action film.  The Annie awards recognise excellence in animation. Here are the full nominations.  The awards ceremony will take place on February 1st.
