TNT has announced that it has ordered a pilot for the fantasy drama Lumen from Steven Spielberg's production company, Amblin Entertainment. Here is a synopsis of the show from The Hollywood Reporter : Lumen centers on a famous author of a best-selling series of fantasy books who suddenly disappears and a family of four who are transported to the mystical alternate world that inspired her work. Once there, however, they are plunged into the middle of a war raging between rival magical forces of light and darkness. Facing peril at every turn, the family must unravel a complicated mystery and uncover some astonishing secrets as they struggle to find their way home. Chris Black will write the script, as well as assume co-executive producing duties alongside Amblin's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. The pilot will be directed by Joe Johnston .
