Steven Spielberg's new favorite actor closes out 2016 with an even bigger honor than the Oscar he won earlier this years for Bridge of Spies.  Variety   reports that Mark Rylance has made Queen Elizabeth's New Year's Honors List, and is to be knighted for his significant contributions to the British theatre. It seems fitting for the actor who played Spielberg's BFG to recieve this honor from the very Queen he teams with in the film to save the children of England from the threat of the nasty giants, and we congratulate him on the honor. His name: Mark Rylance, The films to look out for: St. James Place (work-title) and B.F.G.   (based on the international bestselling children's book by Roald Dahl) of course. Until now he has been most famous for his work in the theater, Lets hope that by this time next year, we will all remember him because of his part in Spielberg's thriller, and are anxiously waiting for B.F.G. Tony Award-winning actor Mark Rylance has been cast as the giant in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of the classic children's book by Roald Dahl,  The BFG .  Rylance is currently working with Spielberg on the Cold War drama St. James Place . Of the casting, Spielberg had this to say: “As I witnessed on stage, Mark Rylance is a transformational actor,” said  Spielberg.  “I am excited and thrilled that Mark will be making this journey with us to Giant Country. Everything about his career so far is about making the courageous choice and I’m honored he has chosen ‘The BFG’ as his next big screen performance.” The BFG  is expected to being filming early in 2015, and it has a U.S. release date of July 1, 2016.
