George Lucas will marry his longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson, the director's production company Lucasfilm Ltd said on Thursday. Lucas, 68, and Hobson, the president of Chicago investment firm Ariel Investments LLC, have been together for the past six years. It will be Lucas' second marriage. He was married to Oscar-winning film editor Marcia Lucas from 1969 to 1983. No date or location for the wedding has been made public. Hobson, 43, serves on the board of directors for Hollywood studio Dreamworks Animation SKG Inc, cosmetics company Estee Lauder Companies Inc, coffeehouse chain Starbucks Corp and Internet coupon company Groupon Inc. Oblivion trailer with Tom Cruise.  Part of the trailer actually makes me think this is an adult Wall-E.  Not looking bad though but my fear is that the trailer doesn't actually do a good job of telling you what the movie is all about and John Carter had the same problem and look what happened to that at the box office. I was listening to the expanded edition of Star Wars The Phantom Menace the other day and came across what I think is a tip of the hat to Battlestar Galactica.  There is a small part on the track entitled "Anakin Is Free" and about 1m30 seconds in you hear a small part of the signature tune from the 70's sci-fi tv series Battlestar.  Maybe its me but there is a definite similarity to the two. There are ties between the two franchise.  Battlestar came about thanks to the popularity of Star Wars in 1977 and there is a link too with Ralph Mcquarrie who is a legend in the concept art field for both Star Wars and Battlestar.  In fact Mcquarrie came up with the design for the now famous colonial Viper ship. George Lucas with eventual winner Lewis Hamilton  Formula one returned to the USA on the weekend where **Spoiler Alert** Lewis Hamilton who appeared in Pixar's Cars 2 won the race.  Also at the grand prix was the world's latest multi billionaire George Lucas.  The Lotus team were sponsored by the Angry Birds team and sported the Star Wars Angry Birds logo on the nose of the car.  The Star Wars cars finished sixth and Seventh.  Just for the record I watched the grand prix and the folks at Austin Texas should be really proud.  The venue looked amazing and turned out to be one of the best grand prix of the season.
