Who Remembers Steven Spielberg's Director's Chair On CD-ROM?

Be the director and take advice from Steven Spielberg in the classic PC game, Director's Chair Who remembers that Steven Spielberg project with Jennifer Aniston, Quentin Tarantino, Katherine Helmond and Penn and Teller? It was a CD-ROM interactive game for PC and Mac called Steven Spielberg's Director's Chair. You chose the cast, the script and the camera angles. It was released in 1996 and Spielberg appeared throughout the game guiding you and giving you tips. Hollywood professionals such as editor Michael Kahn, special effects supervisor Michael Lantieri, and cinematographer Dean Cundey were also in the game to give you advice. You started with a small budget and a personal assistant who guided you along the way. Spielberg gave you a pep talk before you're left to work on your first feature. Ted and Terry (or Terry and Ted) offered you useful suggestions on changing your script. Delays were inevitable and cost you money but before you knew it you wer

Fans and Friends Share Their Jaws Memories

Back in 2015 we published an article where fans of Jaws which was celebrating 40 years that year shared their memories of the classic shark movie. Mega Jaws collector, Jim Beller, writer, Bryan Young and super Jaws fan, Joe Fortunato were just some of the memories we shared. We just had to publish the article again. To celebrate Steven Spielberg's Jaws turning 40 we asked fans of the movie what their memories are of the classic shark movie that hit cinema screens across America on June 20th 1975. Whenever someone asks me that dreaded question, "what is your favourite movie?" I always have to explain that it's like asking what your favourite food is. It really depends on your mood at the time. Saying that, there are always three movies that come to mind. Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark and of course Jaws. For me Jaws is an example of a perfect movie. It never ages it just gets finer as the years wave by. Jaws is another exa

Jaws: Resurface Is A New Fan Made Trailer That Actually Looks Pretty Good

JAWS: RESURFACE Trailer Is A Must Watch Clever Youtuber, Tommy Ross has put together a rather convincing fan trailer for a new Jaws movie.  It's called JAWS: RESURFACE and to be honest, I would watch it.  It would star Richard Dreyfuss so that's okay in my books and it kind of looks fun.  Of course, it's not real, which is a shame but should there be more Jaws movies?  Before you answer with a "hell, no" let me share Tommy's thoughts and he does come up with some valid points.  You can watch the fan trailer for Jaws: Resurface at the end of this article.  Please do let us know your thoughts on the trailer and whether you would like to see another Jaws movie Despite what some people say, this really needs to happen for a number of reasons. First of all, I believe it's important to keep beloved, iconic properties alive, relevant and thriving. We should celebrate certain films in big ways and always allow new audiences to discover these films. Jaws sho

Review - Is Jurassic Park 4K Worth Buying?

David Gawne Takes A Look To See Just How Good Jurassic Park 4K Is I t was Christmas `94 when Jurassic Park made its home video release debut. I can still remember coming home from school and holding the special fossil case VHS edition of Jurassic Park, knowing that the movie that changed my life was inside. I must have watched that tape over a hundred times. In 2000, both Jurassic Park and The Lost World were released on DVD. We could finally experience these movies without all the hiss and other anomalies that plagued VHS tapes. In 2011, all three movies were released on Blu-ray, but there was always something that bothered me about the transfers, particularly Jurassic Park; the warm, earthy colours of Isla Nublar were suddenly lacking. In 2013 the 3D edition was released but the general complaint was the overuse of DNR which removed some of the grain, thus robbing the picture of some finer detail. This was a shame as i loved the colours of the 3D version but something still was

INTRADA Announces Jerry Goldsmith's BABY - SECRET OF THE LOST LEGEND

BABY - SECRET OF THE LOST LEGEND Composed and Conducted by JERRY GOLDSMITH INTRADA ISC 403 Intrada presents an updated release of Jerry Goldsmith's 1985 score to Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend. Intrada mastered the earlier release from a DAT transfer of Jerry Goldsmith’s personal 2-track stereo mix of the print takes on ¼” stereo tape, made by mixer Shawn Murphy in the early 1990s when Goldsmith was dubbing much of his analog library over to the relatively new digital tape format. For this 2018 remastering of the complete score, Intrada was provided access to everything from the September 1984 sessions, maintained in pristine condition in the vast Disney vaults. These included the original 32-track scoring session masters as well as the multi-track digital mixes made by Murphy from the 32-track elements. One anomaly from the previous release has now been corrected — Goldsmith’s copy of the mixes included a couple of tracks, in particular the lengthy finale of the score, “Baby’

REVIEW - TheAmazingMysteryBox.Com Star Wars Box

Unboxing 'The Amazing Mystery Box' L ast week I was lucky enough to attend Film & Comic Con, Cardiff at the Motorpoint Arena.  While I was at the Showmasters event I came across a stall stacked with these mysterious boxes.  "The Amazing Mystery Box" was the name of the stall and they were promoting a kind of loot crate subscription.  They were selling one off boxes and I fancied purchasing one to see what was in the box.  Curiosity got the better of me.  After a quick chat with the owner who said they understand what fans want and try to get official merchandise.  In fact most of the Doctor Who stuff has come from the now sadly closed Doctor Who Experience gift shop that was in Cardiff Bay.  Anyway, I asked if he had a theme related to The Bearded Trio and he keenly handed over a Star Wars themed box.  He promised me that the £19.99 boxes will have at least £40 worth of goodies and if you want to splash out a bit more then there's a box which costs £49.9
