At the time of writing this there was no confirmation whether Star Wars VII would follow the expanded universe or not.  But one thing is for certain it will have a few nods here and there and for EU fans that will make them smile.  It will also introduce you to characters such as Mara Jade and give you some insight into what happens between Leia and Solo after Return of the Jedi.

1 - Watch the Movies and The Clone Wars.

There is no substitute for watching Star Wars.  Whip out the Blu-ray box set of the movies and watch and re-watch them.  Also keep an eye out for the complete box set of The Clone Wars which is out in October.  If you haven't watched the animated series yet then you are missing out on some of the best Star Wars ever made.  Make it essential viewing.

So there you have it.  Seven tips to get you up to speed for Star Wars VII.  A bonus tip would be to attend some conventions such as Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in July 2015 and meet the stars of the movies and the podcasts mentioned above.

May The Force Be With You.

If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie.  It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen.  First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.  Steve leans up against the kitchen wall and is completely shocked at what just happened.  It's at this point Diane starts to explain the sensation of being pulled and then...A very abrupt cut.  One moment we are listening to Diane and suddenly it cuts to Diane and Steve at their next door neighbours door.  Why the sudden cut?  It's on the VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and even the streaming versions.  Why does this awful and weird cut exist in the movie, Poltergeist?  Watch the clip below to see the cut: Well, the ans
