Telltale's Jurassic Park; a first look #jurassicpark

Game Informer has recently had their first look at Jurassic Park: Episode 1 from Telltale Games. Jurassic Park, created by Michael Crichton and adapted into a screenplay by Stephen Spielberg has had some hit or misses in the gaming industry. All JP games have been shooter games where the player goes out and shoots the dinosaurs. Sure that's a lot of fun but it's not what Jurassic Park was about.
Enter Telltale Games who is going to bring the human element found in the books into their game. Good news is that Universal Studios also wanted this and hasn't licensed the IP since 2003's Operation Genesis. Telltale's Jurassic Park is going to take place after the first Jurassic Park and will address plot points that weren't followed through in the first film and never again in the sequels.
As for characters, according to the article we know that we won't be playing as Dr Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler or Dr Ian Malcolm but we do know that those characters as well as smaller characters like Gerry Harding, Jurassic Park's chief veterinarian will be referenced. As previously mentioned JP is going to use Heavy Rain's mechanics but still working on how it will be used.
Jurassic Park is going to be a five-part downloadable series and will be released onthe PC, Mac and consoles.
You should definitely go check out Game Informer's first look on Jurassic Park from Telltale games. It's a great read and definitely gives you a lot of insight as to what the new Jurassic Park will be like. There are also some screenshots and concept art to gawk at.
