Super 8, Battle: Los Angeles, And More To Air Super Bowl Spots

While speculation has grown quite fierce in recent weeks, it appears we finally have a solid idea of what films will be advertised during Super Bowl XLV.  The Hollywood Reporter has released the list of films that viewers can expect to see commercials for both before and during the game.  Hit the jump to see what is in store.

Even with an approximate $3 million price tag per 30 second spot, it appears movie studios are going all out as far as buying up space for some of 2011’s biggest releases.  A number of films will have spots during the game, including a few that we have covered for their viral marketing efforts: Super 8, Limitless, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Cowboys & Aliens, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Rango.

In what many deem is a cost effective decision, The Hollywood Reporter also notes that several films, including Battle: Los Angeles, The Eagle, Kung Fu Panda 2, Priest, and Just Go With It, will be represented during pregame festivities.

As the big game approaches, expect to see more information emerge over what specifically viewers will see in these commercials.  I know I am most excited to finally see some footage from Captain America: The First Avenger. If there’s a particular spot you are looking forward to, let us know what it is in the comments section below.

The Super Bowl will air on Fox on February 6th.
