Lisa Dullard Answers Our Quick Fire Questions

lisa dullard

This week we have a very special guest answering our quick fire questions.  None other than Lisa Dullard.  Lisa is an integral part of The Bearded Trio and Coffee with Kenobi where she has the important task of being their media specialist.  Without Lisa helping here at The Bearded Trio and I'm sure at Coffee With Kenobi things would be a LOT more difficult.  Her contributions to the site are always welcome and as professional as they come.

When she's not making our sites better and bringing you the latest news you will find her keeping up to date on Star Wars, Doctor Who and the Marvel universe, in particular Captain America.

We just had to get Lisa answering our quick fire questions.  Here's how Lisa did:

You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah (Star Wars).  What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take?
Star Wars: A New Hope, Doctor Who (or The X-Files - Can’t I take both??), U2’s The Joshua Tree, and my old marked-up Bible.

BBC's Doctor Who

If you could invite any three people (alive or not, fictitious or not) to a dinner party, who would they be?
Mark Hamill, because he’s been a huge presence in my life and I’d love the chance to thank him for always being awesome. David Tennant, because he makes my fangirl heart go pitter-pat. And my Mom, because I miss her.

What is your favourite John Williams soundtrack?
This changes - but I’ve found myself listening to ‘Revenge of the Sith’ quite a bit recently.

If you were invisible for a day what would be the first thing you would do?
You mean I’m not invisible? Uh-oh.

What was the last movie you watched that you thought had the 'Wow' factor?
Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That elevator fight scene! I could watch that on repeat all day long. Cap is the BEST.

What is your biggest fear?
Hmmmm. I don’t like fire. Earwigs creep me out. I’m a bit claustrophobic, too. I like my personal space.

What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?
I’m an introvert, so I’ve got lots of embarrassing moments! I once was interested in a guy at our local butcher shop. I’m fairly awkward when it comes to matters of the heart, so it took me ages to work up the courage to ask about him. The person I ended up asking turned out to be his wife. Oops! I was mortified, and she had a raised eyebrow. It took me a few months to go back there! It has a happy ending, though. I still shop there and we’re all friendly. It was easy once she realized I wasn’t out to steal her man!

Excluding search engines, what three websites would you choose if no other websites were available?
Facebook, Pinterest, and StarWars.com. (The Bearded Trio and Coffee With Kenobi are a given!)

Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Dark chocolate. And I don’t really feel all that guilty about it.

What are you looking forward to the most in the next six months?
I’ve got a healthy pile of books to read! That’ll keep me busy this summer. I’m also really looking forward to the build-up of anticipation surrounding The Force Awakens and Rogue One, as well as season two of Star Wars Rebels. It’s always great fun to have Star Wars in the news and on the brain! I’m a big fan of the TV show Hannibal, so I’m excited for the third season. Also - Doctor Who!! Can’t leave out Jurassic World, either. No vacations. I do staycations.

December 18th can't come soon enough.

What is your most treasured possession?
My serious answer - My Mom’s wedding ring. She gave it to me for my 15th birthday, and it’s been on my finger ever since.
My geeky answer - My Mark Hamill autographs (I’ll throw in my Paul McGann autograph, too!)

What is your favourite line from a movie?
“I am a Jedi, like my father before me.” ~ Luke Skywalker, Return of the Jedi

What are you most proud of?
This might sound silly to some, but it’s Joxer, my Pug. I was never blessed with a family of my own, so he’s like my child - He’s handsome, smart, and he’s a very good boy. My pride and joy!

Joxer
If you play video games, what was your most memorable video gaming moment?
I play a few Facebook games. Nothing all that memorable there. Passes the time, though. Video games weren’t part of my experience growing up, so it was never something I got into - even as an adult. Sad, huh?

What is your favourite Spielberg movie?
Hmmm. This is a two-fold answer. I think his best movie is Schindler’s List, but I base favorites on re-watchability (and you don’t really watch Schindler’s List for fun) so I’d choose Jaws. If Jaws is on, I’ll drop everything and watch.

Where can people keep in touch or follow you?
I'm on Twitter @JediPug1, and you can find the link to my Facebook page there. You can reach me via e-mail at lisad@coffeewithkenobi.com

Thanks to Lisa for taking the time to answer our quick fire questions and for the invaluable contribution to our site and Coffee With Kenobi.  She really is an Internet guru.  Thank you.

PS.  Nothing wrong with dark chocolate and Jaws is the correct answer - Rob

Next time on our Quick Fire Questions we have Rebecca Benjamin.  Stay tuned.

Did Paul Freeman Accidentally Eat A Fly In Raiders of the Lost Ark?

The Famous Indiana Jones Fly In Belloq's Mouth Scene.  Did It Really Happen? I've always wondered if Paul Freeman unintentionally consumed a fly in this scene in  Raiders of the Lost Ark ?  It's the scene where Indiana Jones shouts down to Bellosh...I mean Belloq and threatens to blow up the ark.  Did a fly go in his mouth? I remember watching this scene back in the early eighties and my ten year old mind thought he definitely had a snack while filming.  I recall talking about 'flygate' in my school playground at the time and the general consensus with my friends was that Freeman definitely had a sneaky snack. Paul Freeman talks about the famous 'fly' scene in an interview with TheIndyExperience.com  and settled 'flygate:' This is a bit of a dicey question so don’t get too upset. (Laughs) A movie’s always got bloopers in it, some have a lot, and some only have three or four. And the most remarkable blooper was right before the opening of th

Explaining That "Weird" Cut In Poltergeist. Read The Missing Scene

Why Is There A Strange Cut In The 1982 Horror Classic, Poltergeist? If you're a fan of the 1982 Horror classic, Poltergeist then you will be very familiar with that "weird" cut in the movie.  It's 32 minutes and 47 seconds in to the movie and the scene is where Diane is explaining the strange phenomenon that is happening in the kitchen.  First, she shows to Steve a chair scraping across the floor all on its own then she does the same with Carol Anne.  Steve leans up against the kitchen wall and is completely shocked at what just happened.  It's at this point Diane starts to explain the sensation of being pulled and then...A very abrupt cut.  One moment we are listening to Diane and suddenly it cuts to Diane and Steve at their next door neighbours door.  Why the sudden cut?  It's on the VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and even the streaming versions.  Why does this awful and weird cut exist in the movie, Poltergeist?  Watch the clip below to see the cut: Well, the ans
