Retro Star Wars Is Back - Retro Star Wars Strikes Back

A few days ago we reported the unfortunate news that Retro Star Wars facebook page had been shut down.  An appeal was put in place but ultimately was denied by Facebook.  Now, not one to give up, Retro Star Wars is back.  Called Retro Star Wars Strikes Back the page will surely be as popular as the first if not more.  If the Star Wars movies are anything to go by the second one in the original trilogy is generally regarded as the best so expect Retro Star Wars to be bigger and better.  We are in for some huge Star Wars fun. Check it out from the link below.  Make sure to click Like. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Retro-Star-Wars-Strikes-Back/420690398040937 Rob @welshslider THE BEARDED TRIO ON FACEBOOK THE BEARDED TRIO ON TWITTER THE BEARDED TRIO ON GOOGLE+

VIDEO: Meet Boba Fett: Initial 1978 Boba Fett Costume Screentest

From the official Star Wars Youtube channel. Many have seen the early Ralph McQuarrie sketches of Boba Fett sporting the all-white helmet and armor. What you haven't seen is the original white Fett costume in action. A videotape was rolling to capture "proto Fett's" reveal to Lucas and company at the filmmaker's home on June 28, 1978. In the video, sound designer Ben Burtt "hosts" Fett's reveal, describing the different weapons, functions, and characteristics of the costume (worn by Empire's assistant film editor Duwayne Dunham for the test). Samuel L. Jackson Expresses His Interest To Be In Star Wars VII

Samuel L. Jackson has expressed his interest to appear in Star Wars VII.  The actor was talking tonight on the Graham Norton Show and said that Jedi's can survive long falls referring to Mace Windu's death in Revenge of the Sith. Jackson was also joined by Sandra Bullock and Nick Frost. Frost chipped in by saying that Jedi's can use their midichlorians to heal. Sandra Bullock was handed a purple light saber which she was genuinely excited to hold and although she had to be told not to touch the deadly part of the saber, she seemed to get the hang of wielding the most powerful weapon in the universe rather quickly. Lucasfilm Gearing Up For Huge Presence At San Diego Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con is just around the corner and the floor plan has been released with a list of exhibitors.  Lucasfilm have a huge presence at the show situated next to (and bigger than) Hasbro and Lego. There are some strong rumours that Lucasfilm are gearing up for huge Star Wars VII announcements at the show preferring San Diego to Celebration Europe because they are more likely to entice Harrison Ford to San Diego rather than Germany. The show kicks off on July 18th-21st. See more at  http://www.comic-con.org/cci/2013/exhibitors THE BEARDED TRIO ON FACEBOOK THE BEARDED TRIO ON TWITTER THE BEARDED TRIO ON GOOGLE+

BREAKING NEWS: Facebook Page Retro Star Wars Closed - Sad Day For Fans.

Popular Star Wars Facebook page, Retro Star Wars has been closed.  Details are still unknown why this has happened but it does appear that a lot of fan pages have been closed over the last few days. Retro Star Wars was closing in on one hundred thousand likes and was extremely popular with fans.  Being one of the admins for the page I will personally miss the page and the close community that was forged. ...as if a million voices cried out... UPDATE An Appeal is in progress and we will keep you updated.  We contacted Lucasfilm who were as surprised as we were.  They are very much against fan pages being closed.  It appears at this time that Facebook are behind these closures. Rick Moranis unsure of 'Ghostbusters 3'

Rick Moranis has denied reports that he had retired from acting in the early 1990s according to an interview with the actor in Heeb magazine while speaking about the project. When asked if he would return for a third film, he said: "I got a call three or four years ago from an associate of Aykroyd's. Some sort of producer. "And he said, 'Listen, I gotta ask you something, because the internet says you're retired' - which is one of my favourites, by the way - I just love when the internet is wrong. It's the only thing that will save journalism." Lego Giant Monkey Head From Monkey Island Created.

PuCCi0  over on Flickr has produced this impressive Lego monkey head from Lucasart's Monkey Island. The creator writes: The Giantic Monkey Head is a notable landmark of Monkey Island. It has been featured in every game where the surface of Monkey Island is visited, each time serving a slightly different purpose. In the first game it leads to a hellish catacomb of flesh . Guybrush must make his way through these caves in order to reach LeChuck's ghost pirate ship. The monkey head is surrounded by a fence that can be crossed only by pulling the nose of the totem pole, but for those not familiar with the game, the fence closes the door as soon as you release the nose. To solve the problem Guybrush Threepwood was able to befriend Jojo (a little monkey that lived on the island), luring him whit bananas, and he Showed Jojo how to hold down the lever which opened the gate in the fence surrounding the head and allowing access. Quickfire Questions - This Week Cory Clubb of Coffee With Kenobi

We conclude our Coffee With Kenobi Quick Fire Questions this week with the other half of the team, Cory Clubb. Coffee with Kenobi is a new Star Wars podcast but has hit the ground running and is definitely worth putting on your subscribe list. As well as hosting Coffee With Kenobi, Cory is also an author and his book, Uncanny Day is due out in September. Check it out here. Lets get started with the questions: You're stuck in a swamp on Dagobah. What one movie, TV show, album and book would you take? Tough to decide these kinds of questions, but I’d have to agree with Dan and Raiders of the Lost Ark as my one movie. Filmmaking at it’s finest! For my TV show, I’d like to revisit the LOST series and really dissect it. Classic Frank Sinatra would sooth me with his crooning while I poured over the collective work of Sherlock Holmes. If you could invite any three people (alive or not, fictitious or not) to a dinner party, who would they be? Stephen King, Christopher Nolan, and Sta

Jurassic Park IV Plot Leaked? Set on Modern Day Isla Nublar With Underwater Dinosaurs

According to Joblo.com they have been contacted by a reliable source who claims to have information on the current story for Jurassic Park IV.  The source claims that the movie will be set in present day Isla Nublar which is now a successful and "completely" safe park attracting millions of visitors each year.  The island has tamed dinosaurs and a huge lagoon.  It's this lagoon that has raised speculation that the fourth incarnation of Jurassic Park will see underwater dinosaurs for the first time.  Could it be Jaws meets Jurassic Park? Joblo write: JURASSIC PARK 4, set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe - until it's not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dino's for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there'

George Lucas Unveils Yoda And Indiana Jones Statues At San Anselmo's Imagination Park

George Lucas Thursday unveiled statues of Yoda and Indiana Jones at San Anselmo's Imagination Park. Mr Lucas donated the land for the nearly completed park at 535 San Anselmo Ave. downtown, razed an existing building to make room for it and paid for the bronze statues. "I've never seen so many people in downtown San Anselmo," said Annabelle Reber, who was at the event with her dog, her infant and her toddler. The San Anselmo resident said, "We're very excited that the town finally has a central gathering spot."

Steven Spielberg Praises Richard Attenborough's 'Divine Inspiration'

Steven Spielberg was among the famous faces honouring British icon Richard Attenborough at the launch of a young filmmakers fund created in his name. Video messages from Steven Spielberg and actor Ben Kingsley were on the order of play for the launch of a National Film and Television School (NFTS) fund for young filmmakers named after British movie legend Richard Attenborough. Attenborough, directed by Spielberg in Jurassic Park (1992), was the subject of a celebratory evening named the "Entirely Up To You, Darling" gala after his famous catchphrase. Attenborough was personally unable to attend the dinner and fund launch, so his son Michael thanked the NFTS and those paying tribute on his father's behalf. The charitable fund aims to raise $1.55 million (£1 million) over two years to "enable talented young people to achieve their ambition as successful filmmakers through world class educational experiences." In his taped message, Spielberg described At
