Warcraft Delayed Until 2016. No Leroy Jenkins Called To Battle Star Wars VII

It comes as no surprise that Duncan Jones' Warcraft movie based on the popular MMO game has been pushed back to 2016.  The original date was December 18th 2015 which was getting a bit crowded after the delay to Star Wars VII brought the two movies together and sharing the same release date. No movie wants to go up against J.J. Abrams Star Wars VII, it would be box office suicide.  The new release date for the Warcraft movie is now March 11th 2016.  At the moment March 2016 is looking quite quiet for other releases so a very good move from the movie studio. Colin Trevorrow Takes To Twitter To Calm Our Nerves About Jurassic World.

The Jurassic World director takes to Twitter to calm our nerves about Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow, the director of 2015's ' Jurassic Park ' sequel, has reassured fans that 'Jurassic World' won't be a reboot. The American film-maker took to Twitter to answer a concerned dino-fan's question about the forthcoming film, assuring him that the fourth 'Jurassic Park' film wouldn't be a rehashing of the 1993 original.  He explained his film will pick up the story 22 years after the "horrific events" of the first 'Jurassic Park' film which, neatly, will be celebrating its 22nd anniversary when 'Jurassic World' is released in 2015. Trevorrow also clarified that the fourth installment would stay true to the roots of the original film, promising "a new, sci-fi terror adventure". http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/director-promises-sci-fi-terror-in-jurassic-world-105912187.html   THE BEARDED TRIO ON FACEB

Steven Spielberg Eyes Australian Director Baz Luhrmann For HBO's Napoleon

Producer Steven Spielberg is reportedly eyeing up the Australian director Baz Luhrmann to call the shots on HBO 's highly-anticipated miniseries "Napoleon," based on Stanley Kubrick 's famously unrealized screenplay. Luhrmann has directed movies such as The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge and Australia! Although no deal is yet in place, according to Deadline , the move would likely find Luhrmann directing the entire min, which centers on the 19th century French leader's staggering conquest of Europe, his defeat at the hands of coalition forces at Waterloo and his eventual island exile. No casting has yet been announced. MUST SEE VIDEO: RC Star Wars Tie Fighter Interceptor!

From Gig540 's Youtube Channel.  You need to see this.  A fully working FLYING Tie Interceptor.  Impressive, most impressive. Here is a Tie Interceptor I built from drawings and pictures I found on the Internet. Since the first time I seen the Interceptor in the movies when I was a Kid it was my favorite ship. I always liked the aggressive style to it and the sounds they made. Here is a link to a forum to where I posted the entire build. Most of it I think http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showt... A lot has changed in RC Flight with electrics and with that it has opened a whole new doorway of possibilities. Due to the extremely powerful brushless motors and light weight and high powered Lithium Batteries you can pretty much make anything fly that you may not have had the chance to 20 years ago. This was scratch built from balsa, blue foam from Lowes and some carbon fiber tubes and rods. Building with blue foam is fairly inexpensive and with the amount you get you can mak

How Much Do You Think A Stormtrooper Helmet Signed By George Lucas Would Go For?

Thanks to Jedi News for bringing this one to our attention.  Fancy a Stormtrooper helmet signed by George Lucas?  Well you've just missed out.  The famous Sothebys have just had an auction for just such a thing.  The lot went for...wait for it...$245,000.  Yes that's right, a quarter of a million dollars.  The reserve was just $10,000 to $15,000. I just paid £10 for a stormtrooper helmet to complete my last 17 Luke in Stormtrooper gear.  That was enough! http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2013/null-n09014/lot.17.html Rob @welshslider THE BEARDED TRIO ON FACEBOOK THE BEARDED TRIO ON TWITTER THE BEARDED TRIO ON GOOGLE+

VIDEO: Star Wars: Theatrical Re-Release Trailer (1981)

From the official Star Wars Youtube channel: This Star Wars trailer is for a limited two-week re-release of the film on April 10, 1981. This re-release was historic, as it would mark the first appearance of "Episode IV A New Hope" in the movie's opening crawl, officially rebranding the film as Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope -- in its original release, it was simply called Star Wars. The short trailer features clips from several scenes, including Han Solo blasting Stormtroopers on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker's encounter with Sand People, and the Millennium Falcon's escape from the Death Star. The trailer's narrator calls the film "legendary" and describes it as "the most popular film of all time" -- referencing the box office record for ticket sales held by Star Wars at the time. VIDEO: George Lucas Interview: Writing Star Wars

Check out this recently unearthed video from the official Star Wars Youtube channel.  George Lucas talks about the tasks of writing Star Wars. This recently unearthed George Lucas interview covers the evolution of the first Star Wars script. Lucas, writer and director of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, says that his original screenplay was "way too big to make into a movie." He took the first third of his script and used that as the basis for what would become Episode IV. In the process of rewriting, he decided that Ben Kenobi was not necessary for the story after his duel with Darth Vader; in the original version of his rough draft, Kenobi lived, but Lucas realized it would be more interesting if Vader was to kill him, and Kenobi could take another form. After the success of the film, Lucas had to make other changes to the overall story. In the original concept, the Battle of Endor from Return of the Jedi was meant to take place on a Wookiee planet. Since Lucas had e

Disney Breaks All Time Global Box Office Record With $3.791 Billion

$3.791 Billion!  That's the amount of box office takings Disney have taken worldwide this year.  2013 becomes the most successful year for Disney to date.  If they're taking that amount of money now, imagine what 2015 will bring?  It must be expecting to be knocking on the $5 billion doors. Collider write: With Pixar, Marvel, ABC, ESPN, and now Lucasfilm (aka Star Wars) under its wing, Disney is close to completing its world domination with regards to entertainment media; it’s own Infinity Gauntlet of sorts. For further proof that Disney stands tall over everyone else, the studio has now surpassed its own global box office record of $3.791 billion, putting 2013 on track to be its most successful year ever. The studio first set the record in 2010 thanks to the $1 billion grosses of Toy Story 3 and Alice in Wonderland, but 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful, Monsters University, and double dose of Marvel with Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World have pushed it past $3.79

COREY FELDMAN MISSED OUT ON E.T. ROLE

Corey Feldman has revealed he missed out on a major role in 1980s movie classic E.T. The Extra Terrestrial when the film's writers opted to abandon a storyline about two best pals who befriend an alien. The Lost Boys star was initially cast as lead character Elliott's buddy and landed a guided tour of the movie studio lot that was to house the production from director Steven Spielberg himself - but when the mogul sat down to finetune his family film, it was decided that Henry Thomas' character didn't need a best friend. Feldman tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live: "In the original script... Elliott, who was played by Henry Thomas, had a best friend, who was actually his partner in crime during all the adventures, so it was him and his best friend who found the alien... and then there was a massive rewrite right before they went into shooting. "Steven and I had kinda formed a friendship because he was showing me around the sets, showing me Polter

OFFICIAL - December It Is For Star Wars VII

Lucasfilm has just announced what we've been suspecting for some time.  Star Wars VII has been pushed back from a May 2015 release to December 18th 2015.  This news comes after it was revealed a few weeks back that Michael Arndt was no longer associated with the script for Star Wars VII.  The new writing team being J.J. Is Spielberg Set To Film In India In November?

Is Spielberg set to film in India during November and into December?   The Times of India think so (or more specifically, his unit.  This could involved Spielberg but likely to be a second unit) with this article, stating that the director is moving to India to finish shooting The Hundred Foot Journey. The last time Steven Spielberg was in India, it was a whirlwind trip during which he had met the top brass of Indian cinema. He had even conducted a master class on cinema then, with Amitabh Bachchan playing the emcee. Now sources tell us that Spielberg's unit will be in Mumbai from November 24 for the shoot of The Hundred Foot Journey, based on the book of the same name by Richard C Morais. The film, co-produced by Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey, has Om Puri and Helen Mirren in the lead. A large portion of the film, directed by Lasse Hallstrom, has already been shot in France. And, now the makers will move to India. Since Om plays an Indian living in Paris, his portions neede
