LucasArts' president Darrell Rodriguez has confirmed that LucasArts will be making many more remakes of games from it's back catalogue, based on the success of Monkey Island: SE. The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition was a remake and re-release of one of LucasArts' most loved games, complete with new audio and graphical options. It was released across the PC, Xbox 360 and iPhone and seems to have done well enough that LucasArts is now ramping up production of other remakes. "We plan to do much more of this, both on Steam and iPhone and other platforms in the future," Rodriguez told GameTrailers.tv. Rodriguez also unveiled that next week will see the re-release of the Jedi Knight series over Steam, expanding on the selection of retro games that are currently available on Steam in their original form. Downey eyed for Spielberg's 'Harvey'

Robert Downey Jr is reportedly the frontrunner to star in Steven Spielberg's Harvey remake. According to Variety, the Iron Man actor is being eyed for the role of Elwood P. Dowd, a man who befriends an imaginary six-foot tall rabbit. Harvey originated as a Pulitzer Prize-winning play in 1944. It was later turned into a 1950 feature film starring Jimmy Stewart and Josephine Hull. Reports emerged last month claiming that Tom Hanks, who starred in Spielberg films Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can and The Terminal, turned down the lead role because he believes the public already perceive him as a present-day Stewart. Steven Spielberg's plan for an Abraham Lincoln biopic, with Liam Neeson in the title role, is under threat from a rival project by fellow Oscar-winner Robert Redford, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Their Risky Business blog reports that Redford is planning a film centred around the assassination of the US president by actor and Confederacy sympathiser John Wilkes Booth. The tale, to be titled The Conspirator, would focus on the story of Mary Surratt, allegedly one of Booth's aides. Spielberg's Upcoming Projects - Tin Tin

The Adventures of Tin Tin The Secret Of The Unicorn a 2011 motion capture 3-D film based on The Adventures of Tintin, a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Georges "Hergé" Remi. It will be the first animated film directed by Steven Spielberg and the script is based on three of the stories; The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure. Spielberg first acquired rights to Tintin after Hergé's death in 1983, and re-optioned them in 2002. Filming was due to begin in October 2008 for a 2010 release, but was delayed to 2011 after Universal opted out of producing the film with Paramount, who provided $30 million on pre-production. Sony chose to co-produce the films. The delay resulted in Thomas Sangster, who had been cast as Tintin, departing from the project. Producer Peter Jackson, whose company Weta Digital is providing the animation, intends to direct a sequel. Spielberg and Jackson also hope to co-direct a third film. T
